    Die-Cast S197 Mustangs?

I believe AutoArt has a few new colors including sonic blue comming soon. But I see your mustang is a V6 model, I don't think they will have the V6 non fog lamp model. So you may be stuck with getting a Sonic Blue GT model. But if that doesn't bother you then there is no problem. :nice:

And now... a completely hypothetical question...

I like the idea of a Cougar if ya get the chance check out this months issue of Hot Rod Magazine (Aug. 04) they have a great article about building a new Cougar under the 5 Cars Detroit Must Build article. They have some good ideas in there. I think if built with cars such as the Infiniti G35 as...

    mach 1

Well I never said it is 100% I didn't use words such as that because I am not in charge at Ford and this is purely speculation. I was simply pointing out there are strong reasons to build one besides trying to hold interest in a car nearing the end of its product life cycle, giving it a fairly...

I would say I like them as do many people and am not "spoiled" on them, you sure like putting a negative spin on everyone elses opinion, tactfullness my friend tactfullness. I would hope they would continue building them, and it is a very likely prospect. No they don't have to have them to keep...

    mach 1

True the name alone did not make it a success, but it did help and the fact that the Mach 1 name carries a lot of image, market strength, and positive history with the consumer and would be continuing an already successfully established model, all of which give it a good business argument. The...

    mach 1

Funny thing is in the business world when things make money or consumers want a product and therefore create a market for it, plans can quickly change! Rember Fords little plan in the late eighties to make the mustang a fwd four banger, those were solid plans and they changed. Has Ford ever said...

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

Okay I see, but I was simply refering to emmisions I just didnt get the link to iron block and emmsions legality. I understand the differences in aluminum verses iron engine construction you dont have to explain. I guess I just didnt see its relevance. As I stated, I doubt Ford would be to hard...

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

I was comparing base model to base model with the GTO and Monaro to show how the Monaro was easily retuned for emmisions and without a loss of power but the opposite a gain in power I wasnt reall trying to start a fight about who is more powerful. Of course I am assuming the Monaro would not...

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

Well I highly doubt thats the one reason. Maybe a minor one and even then that would really only apply to the Inline 6 since no version of it exists here. But for the V8's these are just variants of the modular V8 engine family which obviously does meet emmisions here in many applications...

    2006 GT500 Mustang

They sure have been showin off those V10 cars the last couple of years with the 427 Concept, Shelby Cobra concept, and of course the Boss 351 sign me up! I just hope all this expermintation pays off and we get a production version of these V10's!

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

No I meant the way you put it not the fact that I was wrong, with the "then we go here then we do this" line. Sorry I was just perturbed at the way it sounded to me and got rubbed the wrong way maybe I just took it wrong and acted a bit rashly. But I too am a big fan of the Aussie Falcons and...

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

Well then technically I was right and wrong the 5.4 DOHC can be had for under 36k and since the price range is between 36-50k and thats assuming it would be a direct transfer which isnt always so if it were imported here i.e. the Holden Monaro CV8 base cost $59.9k Aus leading to a transfer of...

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

Where are you getting $40k from? I doubt they would cost $40k.

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

I agree with you. It is one of the GTO's major reasons for poor sales. A lot of prospective buyers were turned off by the styling. I dont think anyone would care if a Ford Falcon looked anything like a classic Ford Falcon I know I wouldn't.

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

I wouldn't suggest the Falcon itself or the Fairlane but a new car on a new platform with a similar formula of rwd/V8 optional sedan but designed and built here for the North American market. Offer a V6 standard and a 3 valve 4.6L as a lower engine option, and a DOHC or 3 valve 5.4L as the top...

5.4 dohc in Aussie Ford Falcon

Actually they do not have a version of the Mustang any longer. They were given one in 2002 which was a rebadged right hand drive version of the 2001 SVT Cobra but it was overpriced there due to limited production, reingineering, and shipping costs, and failed miserably so the plug was pulled...

    black 05 on freeway (photos)

I totally agree I've never liked the 94-98 Mustang design. Its way to round and unmuscular in my eyes. It looks like a two door Toyota Camry! To each his own but the 94-98 definatly is not the most sporty muscular mustang design but more like the exact opposite IMO. I have no problem with...

    5 Speed Automatic Transmission

Sounds like someone who got beat by a guy with an automatic. But really I can't imagine driving everyday in traffic without an automatic. I know plenty of people who wish they had an auto or wish they had never gotten rid of their last car because it had an automatic, since they now have to...

Which engine you rather have in the next Mach 1/ BOSS?

No they dont do it because they have a larger displacement V8 motor that makes a lot more torque at a much lower RPM than a Honda 4 cylinder. I doubt if Honda made a mass market V8 of similar displacement that they would give it 100 HP per liter either. There is no need to, thats 460HP which is...

    next generation hwy patrol car?

Haha, I guess you've never been to Texas then, for years the Texas State Hwy patrol used LX Fox body Mustangs for pursuit vehicles, then around 96-97 they began using Camaro Z28's. All these cars were fully marked and painted. They weren't undercover vehicles. The entrance to the Dallas North...
