Can someone please measure something for me?

I need to do a hardware comparison so I need the actual dimension. It should be between .465 and .50 inches across the flats.

Can someone please measure something for me?

I need some help. I need a measurement of the nut insert holes in the frame where the power steering ram attaches to the frame. If your car has power steering or a damper installed then the inserts will be installed already. I need a measurement from a car that doesn't have any inserts installed...

USAF46270, I sent a PM to you so please check that but I'll post some of it here as well. Shipping will be about $55 including insurance. I'm about 120 miles from Abilene. BTW, do you know of any good race carting (no the kiddie go carts) in Jacksonville? BB67FB, I'll put you in line behind...

    8" Posi......what one to get?

I bought an 8" from Quick Performance 641.751.8060 http://stores.ebay.com/Quick-Performance-Racing_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ0QQftidZ2QQtZkm They were easy to deal with and a limited slip is selling for $325. They probably have new gears as well. Be sure to buy the bearings from them. I didn't and...

Torq-Thrust drag wheels and slicks f/s

New, these are worth about $1500 (not including mounting/balancing and tax) so a $500 dollar discount is pretty good already. These aren't beat-up, faded wheels. They look brand new (other than the mentioned blemishes). On the shipping I'm willing to meet in the middle but the asking price is...

    rear suspension for Autox

I suggest tweaking your tire pressures (more in the front and less in the rear) to gain a little more balance by reducing front grip and increasing rear grip. If it is still too tail happy then I would disconnect the rear sway bar. That will reduce the roll stiffness in the rear and tighten the...

    SBF main bearing clearance?

I'm changing the bearings on my 289 and have run into an issue. What is the acceptable clearance range for the main bearings on a small block Ford? The only number I have found is .002 to .0025 but that is only from one book. I am measuring .0015 at the #3 main. I don't have a factory manual so...

    Late model wheel fitment?

Ok, thanks for the info. I just bought some aluminum 16" 5 spoke late model Mustang wheels. I don't know the backspacing yet but I'm sure I'll need spacers. Where do you get those spacers?

    Late model wheel fitment?

Are there any late model Mustang wheels that will fit on my '65? Some of the current factory designs would look pretty good and I think they could be had for cheap. I need to get new tires so I would rather upgrade to 16" wheels if possible. Low profile tires would be a welcome change to the 70...

    Power steering cylinder attachment threads?

Thanks for the info, everyone. 6T6coupe, I tried the crush method you mentioned and it rounded the hole in the frame. It's not really designed for that kind of torque. Have you actually done this succesfully? Maybe I was doing something incorrectly.

    Power steering cylinder attachment threads?

Greetings all. I am new to the world of Mustangs and I have a question about were the power steering assist cylinder attaches to the frame. My car doesn't have power steering so there are no threads in the holes on the bottom of the frame. There is only a hex shaped piece of metal that a thread...
