If I am in second at about 1300 and i accelerate, there is a series of about ten pops or backfires and then once at about 2000 it is fine, no problems between 2000 and 5500

Will the lose chain actually cause a series of backfires.

Good though I might check that, I kinda hope it is the motor, good excuse to buy another.

Ok, The other day after a very needed anger burn out, I started to notice that in between 1000 and 2000 rpm when accelerating my engine backfires and jumps now but once above 2000 it is fine and drives like normal. I think I might of half way burned up a ring or something any ideas? Thanks :bang:

Running Nitto 555s on the front in 245/40s and they are great, and Nitto 555Rs on the rear in 275/45s and they actually are not bad in the rain and I live in WA so we get enough. They do suck when it is freezing out though they turn to ice, just a good excuse to warm them up!!!

Stay with the 245s on the front but feel free to go with 275 or 285s on the rear my 17x9 up front with 245 rub a little on bumps and hard corners. Do go with the 17x8s on the ront though, definite 17x9s out back!!!! Which wheels are you going with?

I run 03 cobras 17x9's on my 92 with 275/40/17 on the rear- those are fine, the 245/45/17 I am having some problems with rubbing on the inner side, I think it is my a arm it is hitting not sure. Little tight on a full turn also.

LMperformance.com has good deals on SLP, Just installed the LTs, X-pipe and catback on friends 01 GT and it is crazy, quality is amazing too. sound is stock car like and great engine response gains, car jumps rpms like crazy now.... Go SLP

The cluster has no mileage on it, I a not sure I think we will try it just to see if it works we can always sell it on ebay or something, Would be cool if it worked though.

Just a quick question, I am buying a set of 03-04 Cobra gauge clusters form somebody and need to now what has to be done to install this in his 01 GT, I know the Boost gauge probably wont work, with no charger but could it be done?????
