    Wheel Fitment? Offset ???'s

Look at the wheels that are on your car now with a tape measure. Measure the distance from the wheel lip to the fender lip ... you will notice the rears are tucked further in relative to the fender wheel lip. Sticking with a factory 4-lug setup you have to buy wheels with different...

    Wheel Fitment? Offset ???'s

These wheels will fit with the backspacing/offset, but here's the first thing to concider on a stock 4-lug Stang: The distance from the 'wheel mounting surface' (brake rotor/drum) to the fender lip is 1" further on the rear compared to the front (4-1/4" vs 3-1/4"). So by retaining the...

    Castor Camber Plate Recommendations

True, but also, aluminum absorbs vibrations better than steel does ... I will buy either material if they are designed and manufactured properly.

    Castor Camber Plate Recommendations

Sure, but do you think the martini's played any roll in this ;) It's good that your NVH didn't change with the modifications :nice: For me, everytime I add a 'stiffer' aftermarket performance enhancer I notice more NVH ... usually slight and worth the upgrade, but the difference is...

    Castor Camber Plate Recommendations

You make good points too "dog poop" :rlaugh: Seems the older I get, the more interested I am in a comfortable ride vs. "maximum performance" as well ... Guess that's why ol' farts drive a Caddy (could be hemorrhoids  ) I think moderation in regards to a lot of mods is the way...

    Difficult to Install?

Did you put an MGW in your fox?? I put two in ... One in my 89 SSP and one in my 89 7K mile notch ... Both of them would not work ... The handle ledge where the grommet sits was too high outta the tunnel for the lower boot to hold into properly as it stretched the boot up too high on...

I double dog dare disagree ... Hey, maybe take it to a shop if you need "can I do it" advice on this easy one ... ((cop wipes along his moistened lips with his forearm after taking another healthy swig from his bottle of 'shine'))

    Difficult to Install?

It will take you up to a couple of hours ... I prefer doing things right, rather than right now. :nice: Removing the center console will save you a chunk of time, as the two forward screws that hold the lower boot on are way too time consuming otherwise. Discard the rubber grommet they...

So my trans blew, guess what I ordered?

Well okay ... Grenading the stock drivetrain with a stock setup leads me to seriously suspect you are pounding the hell outta that car :nice: Poor dad of yours :nonono: Buying the 600 will save him money in the long run the way you drive :D The factory engineers didn't plan on continues...

So my trans blew, guess what I ordered?

    What's The Story With DexCool?

If you drain and refill every year or every other year you will not have any problems ... of course it isn't a 100K mile coolant. My fiances '98 FireChicken has had it's coolant changed every 2 years (by me) and the cooling system has been nothing but great on the car and we've had...

    Need engine rebuild advice

They are good, just a step under the TW and AFR, but better than most and made in the U.S. :nice: The 1.7's will give the valve a little more lift and put the spring a little closer to bind ... the difference isn't that great and hardly noticeable ... I went for 1.6's with my build up ...

    Need engine rebuild advice

The AFR's and Wedges are about the same with the Wedges making a little more up top and the 165's making more down low and mid ... The AFR's also have a thicker head mating deck surface which tends to hold gaskets better when under pressure and also will retain stock valvetrain geometry...

    Need engine rebuild advice

I realize you are on a tight budget right now ... I also realize you are working with a speed density EFI setup ... Plus stock '86 pistons don't have valve reliefs .... so I'll make my suggestions under these notions. First you have to set out a reasonable dollar amount you think this will...
