I agree with 1996mustangkid, don't waste your time with 3 1/2's, I"d try and get a good component set in there if anything and of coarse power it with a nice clean external amplifier! Of coarse all of this depends on your budget!

JL is a really nice sounding sub. Keep in mind when you say the "best" you have to ask yourself, the best for what? There are subs on the market that are designed for excursion.. and there are other brands that are designed mainly for SQ.. and won't hit as hard so when you say below $600 you...

Okay but what is your reason for this? Unless he is planning on taking his car to the track, it's useless to spend all that money on making it "fast". Besides it's not like you are allowed to race on the streets anyways. Why anybody would need a 450hp car to drive on 50km/hr streets is beyond...

Yeah I like the car too.. it's an overall nice package, everything from the details to the stereo.. it's unique and that merits two thumbs up in my book.

What is a 100 watt stereo? Do you mean amplifier? If the 6 x 9's can handle 300watts, 100 watts would be insufficiant.
