    Hood Hinge Help

    Yea, what he said, but take out the hood latch as well... that way you don't have to mess with it "miss-aligning" when your trying to line up the gaps. When you get your hood where you want it, install the hood latch.

    allright, I started making 1 today out of 16 guage mild steel. made the template, took it to the sheet metal shop, they are going to bend and sheer where I want... total cost $16.00

    Sorry about your frustration; my opinion if it matters... cut your losses (which there should be none if they haven't started) and save your money and take it to a reputable body shop ~ you get what you pay for.

    Door Hinge Spring

    most tool stores sell the tool to compress the spring. It's pretty simple really, two arms hinged on one end, with a nut and bolt in the center to compress. good luck
