Modify fuel pump bucket or not modify????

I already went ahead and dropped the tank today and added two 5/16 holes, one on each side. The bottom of the bucket already has a hole in the bottom of the bucket with a little red rubber flap over it to allow extra fuel in the bottom, but will close off to keep fuel in the bucket, so with the...

    Yep, it should be R-134

    Ford part # 6C34-9350-AA

Thanks for the replies guys. The thread I found in Mustang Forums I think pretty much nailed what is going on. If you order the Focus pump part number, 3S4Z-9H307-BC (I think that's it), you get the entire assy (including the Focus plastic bucket). When you open it us to get the pump out to use...

Modify fuel pump bucket or not modify????

Let me ask you somthin.....what happens at WOT if you aren't getting enuf fuel to the pump? Do you just loose power, and maybe pressure, OR do you run lean and detonate, i.e....scatter the motor?

Modify fuel pump bucket or not modify????

One last thread on this and I will get off it. After reading threads in the searches I did, the opinions seem to be split somewhat on this. ....I now know I am running the SVT Focus fuel pump on a relatively low horsepower(325 rwhp), stock NPI headed, Blown 98 GT. The focus pump should be...

    Ford part # 6C34-9350-AA

Wow, now that makes me feel better :) I have stock NPI heads and only make about 325 RWHP so I don't need alot of pump. The main reason I am swapping the pump is because I am eliminating the inline pump from the blower kit I have installed. They weren't lasting very long.

    Ford part # 6C34-9350-AA

Looks like I found my answer. This thread in Mustang Forums talks about this pump. Looks like engineering may have changed the number, or this number is for the pump only, and the other number for the SVT Focus pump is for the entire canister assembly. Whatever the deal, it appears to be a...

    Ford part # 6C34-9350-AA

I think I am seeing the thread you saw in MPH forum when you Googled it. To me it looks like the guy is asking if it is a Focus pump. This is what I know. I bought the 255lph VORTECH intank pump for 98 - 04 Mustangs from Summit Racing part # VOR-8F001-265. When it came, it had the factory...

    Ford part # 6C34-9350-AA

Lets see if anybody comes up with anything else. My local dealer told me something about it and I am wanting to verify it. Fuel pump is correct, but I want to know what its for and what it is supposed to flow. Focus would surprise me.

Can anyone identify this part? I would like to know if you can tell me what vehicle its for and any information about it.

    Cobra Brake Kit Upgrade

Found my problem, Maybe this will help someone I isolated the noise easily enough. It was the front. I jacked it up, and first thing I noticed was that the wheel felt harder to turn than it should be. I know brakes drag a little but this seemed excessive. As I turned the wheel as fast as I...

    NPI cam choices....

Yea, that looks like where it came from to me. Thats why I went with the 268 with my roots blower. I could give up a few numbers down in the lower rpms for what the 268 cam gives you back above 4500rpms.

Cobra brake upgrade, what went wrong?

I'm running slotted rotors on my upgrade, and I know that I immediately noticed the differance in pedal "feel". I'm not talking about improved braking, but more "roughness" or "vibration" thru the pedal. I chaulked it up to being the rotor since it was not smooth like the standard rotor.

Cobra brake upgrade, what went wrong?

Okay, I assumed the vibration was felt more thru the steering wheel.

    kb or allen sc

Exactly:nice: ......This is just my opinion guys and I love the KB too, but.......The Eaton does not produce quite as much horsepower as the KB. The KB is a very well made reliable blower unit. The KB also offers the more traditional top engine mount that looks cool as hell. Most prople can't...

Cobra brake upgrade, what went wrong?

You may only be feeling it at a certain mile per hour, but it could be doing it most of the time to lesser degrees, kinda like an out of balance tire. The condition you describe makes it sound like a warped rotor which is unlikely if they are new, unless they were not seasoned or broken in...

    NPI cam choices....

Basically what it sounds like. The lift on the cam lobe gets to the point that it is opening the valve so far that the coils of the valve spring can't collapse anymore. Once you get metal to metal contact.........sumpin bads gonna happen. The springs can be engineered to allow more lift without...

    NPI cam choices....

My 2 cents is that if you are not going with a power adder to strongly consider the VT cams. I am running the Comp 268's with an Eaton blower mainly because the Comps are ground on a blower friendly 114* centerline. I think the VT's are ground at 113*. Now, I didn't dial them in (used the...

    Ford Racing "B" springs

I can't explain why so many get differant drops, but we seem to. I wouldn't be surprised if Eibach has contracted foreigners just like every other American company either. Maybe its just the box that is made in Canada :canada: I would expect it will take a little more than 5 minutes for...
