    That's what I was thinking. At least head gaskets aren't expensive if one does the work themselves. As far as that nasty grinding goes... I've failed to diagnose it at all. Could it be the flywheel? My clutch is really close to complete death.

    Mine did it too. I ended up with bad spark plug wire on cylinder 1, it would arc on occasion... Check your plugs and wires. One bad wire or plug and as I'm sure you're awre, it can ruin a car's performance.

    Is there any other kind of racing? :p I know what you mean though. I'm taking my A/C out because I want to save a little weight and I like a simpler, cleaner engine bay. People say "X part and Y part don't weight much", but when you add it all up, you can make a substantial difference...

    I agree with 408. As soon as I can afford to switch, I'm going to get Spintech subframe connectors and side-exit exhaust. All of the clips I've heard with that setup sound really, really nice.

    I wasn't aware that he was carbureted, first of all. I figured a small blue LED in a Mustang airbox would be mostly harmless - not something I would do, but logically, it sounded decent. Now that I realize that he's carbed, I can see your point clearly. Show cars, in order to stand out...

    Yeah, it is a daily driver. Do you think I could find a good H/I combo to balance out the cam? I'd hate to get a gift and not make any use of it.

    A quick thought on badging: Putting a Cobra badge on a GT is like a Civic DX putting a Type R badge on. I disagree very strongly with doing it, but to each his own. When I bought my GT someone had put Cobra badges above the 5.0 badges... A butterknife solved that problem. I'm not trying...

    That's what I was thinking, I at least want to do heads and an intake when I do the cam. When the engine goes boom (something will blow eventually) I'm going to try to go for a DSS 331 as well. What do you guys think I should think about doing before installing this?

    Almost lost to Chevy Cavriler and Civic

    In fairness, he didn't say 250rwhp, he said 250hp. Which, at the flywheel, isn't too far off the mark I'd bet. A stall convertor and some gears will REALLY help you get up and go. Like the others said - Get the stock TB back on there, you will feel a seat-of-the-pants difference.
