    only boosting 5 psi, help!

    When i test drove the car, it had significantly more boost than im getting now. I'm not entirely sure why it's gone all the way down to 5. My guess is that i need to adjust my bleeder, or i have a boost leak. Does anyone know how to adjust a bleeder, or have any other ideas? Thanks guys.

    I finally got my 2.3T convertable home, like that last thread said, and it was in better shape than i expected. Other than the usualy used car tune up(plugs, fluids, etc) i can find only two real things that bother me. One is the subframe connectors, apparently put on by a college student...

    Thanks, but after testing the car in a panic stop from 65, the pedal fluttered, and i believe, without looking at them, that the discs are warped. I'll probably just buy new discs just to be sure.

    A little off the origonal topic, but the only thing that the car could really have done to it as far as maintenance is resurfacing the rotors some day. I was wondering if anyone had any idea how much it would cost to have my two discs done (drums in rear)?

    honestly, in my experience i haven't seen a whole lot of turbocoupes that were worth alot whole, but ive never looked at one that was good for anything but a a swap. Im pretty sure that you could sell everything that listed, if its leather seats, and in good condition, for a couple hundred or so.

    Finally!!!

    Finally, after a WHOLE lot of negotiations with my father, i got a 2.3T. Its a convertable, with a new "BMW" blue paint job, a Cobra R hood w/ scoops, and pony rims. Ill get my friends camera and post some pics soon :D

    honestly, the best years to buy the car for are probably 89 or 90, if your gonna eventually do the swap, 88 horse won't matter that much, and the wiring will be simpler, and for some odd reason, at least here, after 1990, all car prices just plummit, no matter the condition :)

    2.3 Turbo over 5.0

    your probably going to run into much less problems as far as getting a 2.3T road-ready than just fixing the typically horribly banged on 5.0. Also ur not really going to be much slower, none at all in my experience, than most people's 5.0s out there.
