They are safe to mod. The pistons just don't take to boost as well as forged ones. :shrug:

I have magnaflows with a catted H and it's alot louder than stock but it's not as loud as flowmasters. It sounds real thumpy with the h pipe. Some people don't like the H with Magnaflows but I like it.

A mustang speed shop quoted 250 for labor while a regular local shop quoted me 330. I brought it to the speed shop and they did a great job and had my car ready the same day it was scheduled to go in. :nice:

Maybe a belt slipping. Also when my clutch was on it's way out it would squeal it's way out of first and second gear.

I installed one too. I had to have the flow tubes shortened a tad. No biggie. I took it to a muffler shop after I installed it and they welded it and adjusted everything for about 50bucks. No leaks! :nice:

Mine was the same. I just put the thinnest layer of RTV in there and no more problem. (Mine is the notorious chrome housing.) :D

I'd say traction probably wouldn't be a problem. Here's why: If you have the dough or time to get that engine to fit, upgrade the tranny, rear, suspension, and reinforce the chassis then you will definitely have the money/time to tub the car and put some meats under the rear fenders. :D

After I changed my thermostat I had a small leak between the bottom of the housing and the intake. It would only develop enough pressure to leak when the car was warmed up. It would drip onto the top of the water pump get trapped in one of the castings and evaporate so I wasn't leaving puddles...

I didn't even know that you can't legally de-cat a car even if it will only be used off-road. Part of that has to do with the fact that I don't have a race-only car. Anyhoo, I did a ton of research before I bought my exhaust system too. oops. :p I made a typo.

It's not that much of a pain. You just have to loosen one header bolt to get the upper bracket in and tighten the bolt. You can feel around on the block just above the oil pan for the hole. Just slide it in as far as it will go. Done. There is no way I would pay $300 to some knucklehead...
