    Headlight Blackouts

I've checked all the reg part sites and searched shelby specific sites as well. Just having a hard time locating some. The tape was the alternative and used commonly as well. This is what I am looking for. [/IMG]

    Headlight Blackouts

Can anyone tell me where to get some headlight blackouts / covers for a '66. I have seen several gt350 originals and clones with them on over the factory headlights. Typically used in race applications, and ona race prepped car during track time. I have seen them now as covers, mimicking the...

    1966 restoration / resto-mod

I will be back home sunday and will take some other pics of the front valance. I changed the exhaust too. It was just too freaking loud. I am all about a good sounding / loud thumping car, but it was just too much. It is still three inches and dumps just in front of the rear. The sound is ten...

    1966 restoration / resto-mod

For those who are atill interested, I dyno'd and tuned the car this weekend. Made 390 hp / 420 tq to the wheels. Means about 450 hp to the crank, which is what my builder told me when he built it. It pulled / made power to 6400 rpms @ 36 degrees total timing. I am running a 650 dbl pumper on...

    1966 restoration / resto-mod

Tricky question. Much of the car was in place from the 90's when I did the work myself...ie the disc brakes all the way around and the 9 inch. I converted the car to a 4 speed top loader. So I had some of those parts as well. There are some other examples that slip my mind, but it kept me...

I like those and considered them as well. But, the last show that I went to, three 65-66's in a row had the matching oval cleaner and valve covers. Again, I like the look, but decided to have something a little different. Might color the Ford emblem in the valve covers red to match the...

The only problem is, the car is so loud, you cant really even hear the stereo. But that is a good problem (as far as I am concerned). Down the road, maybe I will quite her down and pay attention to the tunes again.

The car sits a little lower than it is in the pics. The passenger side actually rubs on deep bumps at speed. Hope to just enjoy and wash it for now.

Some "finished" Pics. Also changed a few things under the hood. Powdercoated the valve covers black and got an oval air cleaner. Like the look much better. Could not get the water marks out of the chrome air cleaner or the valve covers for the life of me. Have put about sixty miles on it...

Recommended by my builder... No forced induction. The motor is prob around 10.5 to 1 compression. Maybe a little spray down the road but thats it. The motor should pull quite well as it is.
