i will be doing the exact opposite, i have a 89 gt 5speed and am going to put the motor in a 63 fairlane and go to carb. What is needed in the intall? Fuel pump? Ignition?

mine is the same way 90 hatch, i had 89 and another 90 they all are that way it is were they welded it together, sh1tty job by Ford.

i need to know if the motor will swap over into my 89 5.0 then i can buy the car for 600 in perfect condition pull the motor and build the stroker of my dreams, with a/c. :rolleyes:

just buy a 6 inch piece of hose from the auto parts store and route the two hardlines back to each other before the firewall, 25 cent fix.

Figured mine out the wire cluster under the steering column has a pretty big connection under there and the clip that holds the connection was broke, so the connection wasn't making connection. Here are the pics, a simple zip tie holds the connection together now.

finally figured mine out, the electrical hookup under the steering column on the right atached to it is a cluster of wires, the clip that holds the plug in place broke and they weren't making connection. AHHHHHHH

I have the 10.5 with 285's on the rear of my 89 hatch, i had to take off the quad shocks and beat on the inner well with a 3 pound sledge to stop them from rubbing the inside then i got 5/16 spacers and they would rub on the fender, took the grinder to the fender lip and groung off almost a 1/4...

my 89 had the same problem, i would rev it up to about 3500 and it would act like it was at 7000. start choking and missing, i bought a new fireball coil from summit for like 30 bucks, now I can rev to 6000 no problem. Give it a try.

on the fender in the front is the only place where my 17x9's rub, the rears are 10.5" i had to remove the quad shocks and with 275's they are perfect on stock length axles, but i have 285's so they rub on the inner well a bit when the axle articulates.

i have the proform that i bought of ebay for 125 delivered, have had for about 5 months, so far has done a great job

I have one on the back side of the fuse box and the other is next to it by the console. Just hangin there. I checked every bulb again and wiggled all the wires i could find, i think i will have to take it to the shop and pay some dumb a$$ 60 bucks for 5 min of work, super.
