Anyone else anxiously waiting for the '06?

I was anxiously awaiting an '06 until I saw the SVT. Now I am trying to find a dealer to commit to sell me one of those for MSRP! Hopefully I'll get good news soon, but If I can't buy it for sticker, I will definitely get an '06 GT.

9" GURU wanted! no **** please!

Almost positive that the Bronco will be a 31 spline. Very doubtful your Mustang is though. Check out mustangsteve.com or ultrastang.com. The have a 9 inch rearend info section that will probably give you the answer.

    1969 9 inch rear interchange?

Versailles will work and will give you a bit more tire clearance. It's a win-win situation!

My new engine! (for 70 mach 1)

Doesn't look like Sooners2win is online now. I'm his brother and as far as the project goes, I'm not sure when we'll get the motor in. We was going to try to do it pretty quick but when we saw how good that motor looked we decided to take a little more time with the engine compartment. I...

Can someone tell me about putting Explorer brakes on a 9" rear?

It is my understanding that these will bolt on to a big bearing 9 inch rearend. My '58 rearend is a medium bearing though, so they would not bolt up to it. Currie sells the explorer brakes for about $400. They will probably be able to confirm compatibility with your rearend.

My new engine! (for 70 mach 1)

Sooners2win. I'm signed into yahoo and I still can't view the pics. Oh well, guess I'll have to put on some shoes and go out to the shop and see for myself! :D

getting a new 9" with disc brakes!

What year is the mustang you're looking for a 9" for. If you need a granada rearend to fit in a 65-66, I know where I can probably pick one up. Not sure what I'll have to give yet and don't have a clue what the best shipping method would be or the cost from OK to CA though. Ahh. If I had...

for those of ya'll with 65-66's that arent scared of driving your car in the rain

I changed all of my wiring in my 65 to '66 wiring and was able to get a 2-speed switch from a 66. I didn't do it for the wipers though, I wanted the '66 instrument panel. 2-speed wipers were just a bonus!

    Traction Lock or Conventional?

Thanks again Ronstang for your wealth of information. I'll check with both sources for the axles.

    Traction Lock or Conventional?

No SandSprite, not in CA. I'm in Oklahoma. Thanks again for all the help everyone. I'm getting a lot of good info from this thread. I think I know where I can get several rearends from early to late 70's Ford pickups that should be good geared 9 inchers in a 31 spline. Might look into...

    Traction Lock or Conventional?

Yeah. I'm not too disappointed. I just hoped to get lucky and have a locker. I'm happy with the lincoln rearend and with probably put the open 3.70 in for awhile, but I'd like to find a locker. I think I can find a 31 spline locker pretty easy and cheap, but the 28 spline will be another...

    Traction Lock or Conventional?

Guys. I have some pics of the third member now but I cant upload them. Each picture shows to be over 700kb and the manage attachment feature tell me to limit the file size to about 70kb. Can anyone tell me how to get these pictures attached?

    Traction Lock or Conventional?

Ronstang. I looked through it and there is what looks like a big round pin that would be between the two axles. Is this what you were referring to as a parting line? Everything points to a locker to me, but still not sure?

    Traction Lock or Conventional?

Thanks for all the replies so far. The bolts do require a 5/8" socket, which led me to believe it was traction lock and from the pictures at ultrastang it looks more like a locker. I'm going to take a good look tomorrow and try to get some pics to post. Thanks for the help and keep it coming!

    Traction Lock or Conventional?

I am in the process of installing a lincoln versailles rearend in my 1965 fastback. Since the gears in these leave something to be desired, I was wanting to use the third member out of the 1958 Ford station wagon rearend that I have. It has 3.70 gears in it but I'm not sure how to tell if it...
