Tried it again last night, both ways. If you start the car, without turning the ignition off, after the routine, it works...but only until the car is shut off & restarted.

It actually worked for me the first time I drove the car after doing the Ford OCD routine....but when I got back in the car and started it up again, I heard the evil sound reappear.

I tried it at lunch...only worked until I shut the car off. When I started it up again, Hitler was back. Is there a missing step? I think I didn't turn the key all the way back off before starting up, if that has any effect.

Very true...when I did the switch out to stock shifter a few weeks ago (to take it in to the dealership), the 1-2 shift problem was almost imperceptible. Put the Tri-Ax back in and it's seriously annoying.

How did you program the chime off? I hate that little mother&**#@!

... Oh, and I also called Tremec on Friday. 1.) The engineer I spoke to said changing to a new fluid doesn't do jack, according to the techs he's heard from in-house there. 2.) A TSB is supposed to be out within a week - yeah.....right. He said to call back if no TSB has been posted...

Legally, to Ford, yep. That's what I was told on the drivetrain issue. :shrug: I don't know how the he*l they would try to explain a shifter causing all of that damage either. I definitely understand your argument, but I'm sure their goal is to make you battle them from the very bottom up...

Glad to hear they lost - this is really ridiculous with these junk trannies. In order to avoid the possible leagal battle though, I will take the necessary precautions with the shifter.
