    Our 1st Cars

1984 Nissan Sentra. Literally the slowest car I have ever driven, and I once drove a 3 cylinder Geo (rental!)!! That is probably the single reason that I refuse to own anything without significant HP!! lol

Check Out What I Just Picked Up For My Fox

So your new shop came with a house?! :rlaugh:

My Fox Is 25yo. Historical Plates?

I will be getting 'antique' plates, here in NH, next year!

    Fox value over time?

The aforementioned limited production cars AND the really nice, bone-stock cars should continue to increase in value. In shopping for a Fox body, how often do you find a car that has been poorly modified and hacked up? Conversely, how often do you come across a low-mileage, stock example? Its a...

SSP chase cars used for U-2 plane

I think they used Plymouth Superbirds back in the early 70's, as well? I know the EPA had a Superbird chase/support vehicle for planes - decibels and emmisions etc.

How does the inside of your stang smell?

I had a Ranger that I bought used a few years back. The original owner was a smoker, and even though the dealer 'detailed' it, it still smelled. I picked a nice warm day, and sprayed the entire interior with almost a whole can of Febreze. Then I just let it sit, with the doors wide open for...

Need to replace fog lights, won't pass inspection

I used to run into this issue, when I drove trucks. The law, which is pretty much the same, from state to state is: 'If it is on the vehicle, then it must work.' This meant that all of those extra running board lights, over the cab lights etc etc. all had to work. I think that the advice given...

    4 lug or 5 lug

The last thing that you want is to see one of your wheels, rolling by you, after it has broken off!! As far fetched as this sounds, it has actually happened to a couple of guys who post here! If you plan on doing any road racing, track days or cone carving, then the 5 lugs are a must. Both for...

    Tri-ax vs. Pro 5.0 vs. MGW on a T5

I have the Pro 5.0 and it is a decent piece, very well made. However, I can still miss third, which all aftermarket shifters brag that they fix this common problem. I think that a lot of people are loyal to the Pro 5.0, because they were 'the first'. Meaning that they took the design of a short...

lost the key to my wheels

I remember a previous posting on this subject, and the guy used a socket, that was just a bit smaller than the locking lug, and pounded it on, with a hammer. I know that it sounds a bit severe, but i think that it would work, and then put the locking lug in a vise, to remove the pounded on...

    Yet another decision to make....

Suspension w/brakes 1st! Make it handle and stop, then make it go fast. I did it backwards, like everybody else, but it was a stupid decision, that I regret.

Mac Dumps are they Street Legal in Mass.?

As previously stated, you will fail the visual portion of the inspection. However, all you need to do is find a 'performance friendly' inspection station, and you should be all set. MA inspections laws on our old cars is the same as my home state, NH. Besides all of the 'regular' inspection...

    removing the smog pump?

You need to get a smog pump idler pulley, to take the place of the pump. This will work better than a shorter belt. There are also metal tubes, that go to the back of each head, that will need to be removed, or at least capped off. Finally, there is a the tube that goes to your exhaust pipe...

    6AL problems

I love how MSD brags that they are used by NASCAR, as a lame attempt at self-promotion. The thing that always concerned me was that every NASCAR race car has TWO MSD boxes mounted! Obviously this is one for a backup, due to the inevitable failure of the primary!? Seriously though, MSD sells...

    Anderson cams??

I have an Anderson B cam in my car, and I am very happy with it. It idles just fine, although it is set at 1K, through the PMS. It is also plenty lumpy at idle. Meaning, it is painfully obvious that my car has an upgraded cam in it. Everything that was said about these things kicking in after 2k...

Is it just me, or is anyone else disappointed in the Fox 500 project?

Unless the interior contains a couple hundred pounds of lead, it will not fix that rear wheel gap! A simple spring swap with actual Mustang lowering springs for the 4x4 Explorer springs they used will do the trick!!

What weight engine oil do you run?

I use 20W50, but I only run my car in the Summer/nicer months, and it is supercharged, so it runs pretty hot. Recommended by famed Mustang tuner Joe DaSilva.

Finished my H/C/I swap and got her running

That sounds like a really nice package, especially the AFR heads. Not to nit-pick, but all of the money spent on your HCI upgrade, surely you have a bit left over for some new plug wires?! :D How about some good ol' black or Ford Racing blue?
