Run Ziex ZE-512s on my front end and cornering is greatly improved. Tread wear on these is very good in my opinion. If they only made them in 315s I'd run them all around. Best tire for the $$ IMHO.

What year Stang? My 315s rubbed on an area about 4-5 inches long along the inner fender lip (where 2 panels are welded together and make for a sharp edge). The rear end moves laterally in our cars enough to cause the rub while cornering hard. I notched the area with tin snips and beat...

Probably bent a rear end piece...take it to an alignment shop, they'll be happy to tell you what it needs...as well as try to sell it to you.

I run Falken ZE 512s in 275/40/17 up front on 8" wheels with with no problems whatsoever. My car doesn't wander or follow the 'grooves' any more than my 245s did. I experience less push in corners. Maybe more hydroplaning in puddles, haven't really noticed this season. Alot of the 'bulge'...

The 98s don't have the ugly dash pod...or the cool strut tower brace...other than that they are the same. I love my 98 snake...3:73s = mid 13s.

Dude...285s are BIG tires...big enough to make your car handle like it should. Anything larger is just for fun if you ask me. (ok, there are SOME advantages) I had to fill my wheelwells! At least once! Next time I will probably go with 315s again, but, if not affordable, I will always go...

I also turned my Quad shocks around...they DO rub a little on my KYB bodies, but not enough to hurt anything. DIFFERENT tire brands of the same size tire ARE NOT the same size!! YOU must take this into account when looking at fitment!
