$1,000 for mods, what would you do?

Cool. Maintenance is well kept, all fluids have been done within the last 5,000 miles. Gears, like I said are easy for me, so I figured a programmer so I can recalibrate the speedo. I've read (not experienced it though) that a crossover pipe will gain more power than a catback. Also...

$1,000 for mods, what would you do?

As in computer tune, or just basic tune up parts? (plugs, wires, filters, etc?) (And I did get the A/C fixed. Thanks for the help)

$1,000 for mods, what would you do?

Ok, I've socked away about a grand for some mods to the 2000 GT. Currently, it is bone stock. What would you do with $1,000, not including gears. (I've got both 3.73's and 4.10's at home, just haven't decided which to do yet.) I was thinking an programmer (Diablo maybe) O/R x-pipe (Don't...

    A/C problem with 2000 GT

That's what I was wondering, just the vacuum leak baffled me. Guess I'll do some more poking around. Nothing was directly observable, so I'm thinking I might have to pull that console plate. Thanks!

    A/C problem with 2000 GT

It's probably a stupid easy fix (I'm hoping so) but the other day, my A/C started acting up a bit. It still blows cold air through the tubing under the dash, but quit coming through the regular dash vents. At the same time that happened, a hissing noise under the dash started, that almost...

    Cruisin' to Colby? (Everett)

Anybody going to be at the Cruisin' to Colby car show/controlled cruise in Everett this weekend? I'm usually there a couple of times, considering I can walk there.

    Motive gears Vs. FRPP gears

Maserati, not Ferrari. Motive's Italian made gears are produced by Mossiero which started out as a sub for Maserati. I am master of useless knowledge

Gear install Seattle / Tacoma area

Don't know if I'm beating a dead horse here, but check with some of the 4-wheel drive shops, and some transmission shops besides specialized Mustang shops.

clunk from front end while backing up with steering cranked all the way...

My 2000 does the same thing, but I haven't had a chance to check it out. I was half afraid it was a ball joint. Recommended fixes? Any upgrades to look at? How long will this puppy go before it gives me problems?

Front end shop North of Seattle?

So who would you recommend for front end suspension work north of Seattle? I have a 2000 GT, and I'm guessing I have a ball joint going out, at least that's what it sounds like. I'm wondering if anybody has any recommendations, or should I just look at going to Les Schwab? (That would be...

Anyone with Optima Yellow top 34/78? HELP

I'll have a height measurement for you in the morning if you don't have it by then. The yellows are great, because the Zuk sits for 2-3 months at a time, and I use them for running the winch, the on-board welder, on-board air, and HID lights:D Not your average Samurai.

Anyone with Optima Yellow top 34/78? HELP

I have 2 Optima Yellows in my Suzuki, I can measure tonight if you want. Also, if you're looking specifically at gel-cells, if I remember right, the Pro-Comp Spiral Cell from 4-wheel Parts Wholesalers is a bit shorter than the Optimas.

    it's suppose to snow tonight

Eh, I put my Samurai back together and threw the top on. As long as that thing runs, snow won't stick up here:D

    Beaverton Starbucks/Moonstruck this Saturday night

:knock-knock: I'm going to be in Portland for that Performance Fest show (I don't care if it's lame, it's work) Would you guys mind if a Washington guy in a bone stock GT came down to visit?

    Break in Period w/4.10s

Our shop recommends a 500 break in as well, with a 2-3 heat/cool cycles. Of course, I also have personally just jumped in and drove. But the break in is more geared (no pun intended) for heavy trucks, and rigs that haul trailers. We had a customer burn up a brand new set of Dana 80 gears in...

    Is Bill Pierre Ford tarded?

The Bill Pierre family of dealers has always been a pain, and thieves to boot. (My opinion based on past experience) Me, I normally go to Bickford in Snohomish (awesome service, ok pricing, and no pressure) O'Brien in Everett (OK service, decent pricing, but more limited inventory).

    burger masters

Yeah, the BM in Everett is a converted Burger King. Also up by Mikie's, there is now a Herfy's Burger, but it doesn't compare to the Herfy's of old. I've never really seen anybody at the Mill Creek Burgermaster, and I'm down there all the time. I actually play darts at a little hole in...
