I agree with putting the car on stands, turning the rear wheels and counting the drive shaft turns. But it will pretty hard turning the wheel in 4th gear - maybe putting the car neutral will be easier.

Do you use a torque wrench to tighten the lug nuts, or an air impact? Might be over-tightening the lugs if you're going over 100 ft/lbs. After the differential change, are you still using the same stud and lug length from the previous differential (just checking)?
