There is a TSB on this I believe. It is a faulty oil sending unit. My car does the same thing. One it first warms up the gauge will bounce from low back to normal. Tempreture outside doesn't really seem to effect it. I have left my car in the 100F sun and started it and the gauge still does...

Hmm, never heard of that. I can't see why they would because their tune is made for a stock car. If you have aftermarket parts you should send away for a new tune or get it dyno tuned. If that is true though I could use it. I am going to start looking myself. :flag:

I believe it will increase engine wear. The stock thermo (195) is best for reliability. A 180 is the best mix of performance an relibility, 160 you will get more engine wear and almost no performance gains. I would stay stock or go 180 but only if you need it. Say for preventing pining with...

This guys sums it up write here, both will do the same things. As for Mac I mostly hear about their Throttle Body causing strange idle problems. Cat-Back not to much but maybe there are issues. :flag:
