I personaly dont like the conpression fittings . I would just go online and buy new tranny lines. This way you never have to worry about that getting loose again. I know they are not made to get loose but they do. One piece is better then two connected togetter.

Well the problem with this is hes on a budget. I know the tires are cheap easy and simple but when it comes time to rotate them you can only go from side to side and not front to back they way you should rotate them.

that would depend on how hot and how long it was getting hot for I would guess. but if the clear coat is comming of I would still think something is out of wack. or the clear coat was aplied correctly thats also a posibilty.

is it getting hot. check to see if it getting to hot from friction if its binding then that would cause it to burn the clear coat off. I would imagine. take a pic and post it so we could see the color.

Does anyone know what tire is the drive tire is on a 69 coupe? Is the passanger or drivers side that spins first? If I leave a burn out my passanger side leaves the rubber. I always thought it was the drivers side. Is there some thing wrong with my gears?

is it lined up correctly sounds like its not. if its smells like rubber is burning check to see if it wearing out on one side or maybe its just too tight.

I would be carefull of rot,rust in the floor boards also check the trunk. on the fenders get a magnet and check for bondo the magnet wont stick to the bondo as well as to the metal check the botom of the doors and wheel wells. you can save a lot of money if these are solid.

check for cracks. I had one crack years ago on a pick up it was sort of the same problem with my pick up. I changed the distributer and the problem went away.
