If your under 20, forget getting a 2005 Mustang, even a V6 unless your rich.....

Why would you call the guy a troll? All he said was insurance was gonna be expensive on this car. If he's guilty of anything it's not shopping around before he posted. Personally , I found great humor in a 11k a year insurance quote.

What's your favorite 05 mustang color? + Why no hood stripes option?

That would explain it. I was thinking that the silver looked so much lighter in the other barret pics. For a second I thought It might have been two different colors. Thanks for clarifying that they ARE two different colors.

What's your favorite 05 mustang color? + Why no hood stripes option?

I Really like the Legend Lime and Charcol Grey 05 mustangs. To me a legend lime stang would be amazing with black hood stripes. The silver gt below looks incredible. why no hood stripes option? personally, from the other pics on the barret site, I don't think the silver mustang looks as...

Who wants to see the pictures I took today of the 2005 Mustang GT? (56K Killer!)

Look at the picture above on this page...how squared off everything is. In fact it looks kind of hummer-ish. I don't care about a brushed aluminum look. I think mazda is making some great looking interiors right now. I prefer all black. I personally don't like faux metal/aluminum or faux anythng...

Who wants to see the pictures I took today of the 2005 Mustang GT? (56K Killer!)

First off, your post made me laugh out loud. :) Here are some images of cars that i've seen in person. these, to me, are examples of "more luxurious" plastic, lol. they are of the mazda 3 wagon and the miata respectively:

Who wants to see the pictures I took today of the 2005 Mustang GT? (56K Killer!)

You, sir, are silly. look at the fit and finish on mazdas and scions interior (just to name two sub 20k cars). Don't start yelling at me to go get a mazda or a scion, or the mustang makes up for it in horsepower. To ME 19k - 26k is a lot of money. Man, your talking about 20 THOUSAND dollars...

Who wants to see the pictures I took today of the 2005 Mustang GT? (56K Killer!)

I'm devastated. I can't believe how bad the interior looks in these pictures. One of the things that really impressed me about this car was the interior. In the "press" pics the dash and rest of the interior looked amazing. very high quality. In these more real world photos the interior looks...

you missquoted me. I said that It was the best looking thunderbird in about 35 years. Do you disagree?

2007, the Mustang will have Competition, Camaro is Alive AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im gonna get bloodied here but I've always loved the 1st and 2nd generation camaro and firbird. IMHO the sweep of the rear and front fenders have always been some of the most beautiful automotive body elements ever created. I know it's a bold statement but that's just how I feel. Personally, the...

IMHO: Notes from an American Car Hating 39 year old First Wave Punk Rocker. (Long)

I know a couple of people that have had a car from the early 60's for years. It seems to do well for them. but as someone said from an earlier post it's hard to find cars that weren't beat up. You're so right. I found that Plugs and Points needed to be changed, tuned up every 6 months or so...

IMHO: Notes from an American Car Hating 39 year old First Wave Punk Rocker. (Long)

That's a fantastic question. I reconciled/rationalized it in a number of ways. 1. I was a huge james bond fan when I was a kid (still am but only for the sean connery movies). I had the corgi aston martin car from goldfinger. So to get a silver sports car was something that hit a very deep...

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, I know what you mean about the older cars. While I loved my 68 firebird, I didn't know enough about working on cars to do my own repairs and tune ups. Luckily I had a friend that could help out with that stuff but it was a very expensive car to own. It was a 400 and...

I certainly didn't mean to make us 39ers ancient and old. i just figured there were a lot of "kids" on this site. and frankly to an `18-25 year old we aren't very young, lol....Just wait, they'll be there soon enough ;-) Anyhow, while i didn't start paying attention to cars when i was 7 i did...

Spoke briefly with Galpin Salesman re: The price of the new mustangs...

I just spoke to Dave York, one of the Sales Managers at Galpin Ford. He guessed that they will be priced about $1500 over their '04 counterparts. I also asked about potential dealer mark-up. He said that Galpin won't be selling their 05 Mustangs over msrp but won't be selling them under either...

First off, what a great forum this is. I've never liked any american car made after 1972. In fact I hate 'em. They're ugly period. The Camaro, Firebird, Mustang, etc...were demolished stylistically as were just about every other american offering. The corvette stayed a corvette but I never...
