Well I just got done doing mine...Took me 4 hours alone and I took some breaks. Should have been less.... but it took me a while to rig something up so I could knock the seal in. Wasnt near as bad as I thought and no leaks yet. Air tools and a tranny jack make a WORLD of difference.

They soak up a little bit too much wax for me. Ive always liked the little round pad that came with my cheap can of turtle wax.. or course the turtle is in the garbage though. :)

Its possible but not likely... Heck my 4 barrels open up every time i drive it. With that said, Ive seen stangs run 200k miles before a rebuild some even longer, I say go for it.

What color is your car? I only use camel hair brushes on my car (and at work too, detailing) because they are soft enough for black paint even. How course is the wax your using? Get some really fine final inspection wax for the last coat to get rid of the swirls. Just a microfiber towel or other...

Get a clutch lineup tool and tear the O-ring off the end.. beat it with a hammer and use lots of grease. Will come right out.

I would definatly get the seats if they are nice. The 85's came with a smaller clutch/pp. It is very easy to upgrade though, get get a flywheel for 87?+ 5.0 and a stock clutch/pp or whatever you want to run.

Do you have a carb spacer? Sounds like it may be boiling the gas out. How many volts you putting out to the coil? Is it the stock coil?
