Northwest Foureye Barbecue 2009 - biggest ever

The largest annual gathering of foureyed Mustangs and Capris in the world went down this past Saturday, right here in the Great Northwest. Check it out: 2009 Event Report pg1 If you've got one of these cars, you were either there or wanted to be - it's that good :nice:

Need paint and bodywork done, anyone?

Hey John - oh SHIrT, another Fox, eh? Too bad about the hood, that's a real PITA (read: expensive) to fix. About the front bumper: "no flex agent" is code for "poor prep". Ask the guys at Autopaint downtown, they're the ones who told me. I added nothing extra when I painted the...

87 donor car for 86 coupe.

K-member should be the same, but why take chances? The diff in your car is a 7.5, while the donor's is an 8.8 - considerably stronger. So get that, too. Front brakes are bigger, too, I believe, and a direct swap. Why not take everything (including the gas tank, fuel lines, computer, etc.)...

All Ford car show and swap meet!!!!

Foureye Owners, Unite! Northwest Foureye BBQ now has it's own website.

If you've got a foureyed Mustang, contact Neil or myself for an invite. Last year we had thirty-seven cars on hand, and it's been growing at the rate of about ten cars per year. Click on the link for info on this year's event and lots of pics of previous years: NW Foureye BBQ website...

    pir oct 2008 scca race

A little more juice and you'd have stayed up front. The way you kept re-passing in the twisties made most of the others look like a bunch of drag racers that got lost on the way to the strip. You are gonna kick ass with a new motor.

    chicks driving 5.0's

Naw, it was Ashley's car. :p Can't believe you let an early V8 notch slip away from you... Where were you when we had the last NW Foureye BBQ? Neil told me you were planning to come. We had 37 cars! Guess we'll see you next August, eh? Lee

    chicks driving 5.0's

Back in the day I had a new '88, and my wife would drive it. That was hot. But it's gotta be a stick, or it's just another secretary car.

vids from most recent race at pacific raceway

Nice. That track looks a little scary... lots of big, solid things to whack into if you go just a bit off course (trees, embankments, jersey barriers, etc.).

Private BBQ for owners of 79 to 86 Mustang, Capri, and SVO

Pretty much because SVOs are of the same vintage as the foureyed cars. Some see these early Foxes as being a bit overlooked/underappreciated, and the SVO is one of them. Also, they threatened to beat us up if we didn't let them... :D

    hwy 9 cruising route

Funny this should come up. I just rode (ZX6R) this stretch yesterday on the spur of the moment, had never heard of it before (being from way south in Olympia). A very scenic piece of road, with some nice twists; I'd highly recommend it. Was undoubtedly even better before people starting...

    4-cyl mustang gas mileage?

Meh... I wouldn't get too happy about high 20's in a four-banger. Driven carefully, a GT of similar (87-93) vintage can knock down 27+ MPG on the freeway. For that matter, my '01 Crown Vic can manage 25+. All turbocharged? Hardly. Statistically speaking, very few of them were. 87+, none...

    Is Anyone Looking For Work?

For the record, I'd like to point out that there aren't any soldiers in the Marine Corps... just Marines. Soldiers are, of course, in the Army. Best of luck filling the positions.
