    Wilwood Big Brake question

The current wheels are not going to work so. The search for new wheels that may work was not easy online. I went to the wheel manufacturer once I found some I could live with that aren't $4000 a set! More than likely going with Enkeis. They have been pretty helpful. Thanks for the replies!

    Wilwood Big Brake question

So I see I haven't posted since 2007  ... anyway, I'm finally getting around to installing the 12.8" Wilwood big brakes up front and will also add the matching Wilwood kit for the rears. Currently, I have 10 1/2 X 17 wheels in back, 9 X 17 up front. Does anyone know of any potential...

    8.8 Rearend questions

I'm thinking about using an 8.8 in my 98 Jeep Wrangler in place of the Dana 35. The Jeep folks point to the Explorer/Mountaineer setup from 97-99 as a good one. Does anyone know if ALL of those rearends have disc brakes? Also, do all of the 3.73 rearends have traction lok? thanks.

    Ethanol blended fuel effects?

Yeah, we are 25 years behind "3rd world countries" in this one but better late than never. It's stuff like this that makes you realize how many "sheep" there are in the US. How is it that we can vote and yet we allow Brazil to be the leader in ethanol production. We buy it from them??? What's up...

    sqeaking under hood

Dude!!! You have the same noise I have. What the hell is it??? It sounds like a speedometer cable rubbing on something. If you put just a slight amount of pressure on the clutch, it goes away. IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. Anyone with any ideas on what this is?

    Ethanol blended fuel effects?

Alcohol is more corrosive than regular gas and for that reason, you have to change o rings and fuel lines. I believe you have to go with stainless fuel lines and there may be some sort of filter to remove any impurities such as water from the fuel. I'll see what I can find on the subject and on...

    MGW Shifter Install

I did it first without the lower boot (stock) and because I have a slight noise there where I didn't with the stock slop, I decided to go back and put it on. No change. It has not affected me either way. If you didn't use it, don't worry about it. JS

    Covered Switch in Coin Holder

Yeah, I used a small radio shack switch and mounted in the useless coin tray. I used a large drill bit (maybe 1/2") and bored through from the backside. Then I used an exacto knife to keep widdling it until the switch fit perfectly. I also like the idea of possibly using another fog light...

    Ethanol blended fuel effects?

You obviously didn't check out the link I posted early on in this thread. You also must not understand the GDP or the GNP both of which are hammered by imports. Yes, crude from the Middle East (and OPEC for that matter) are imports. Ethanol is in fact much cleaner than just about anything else...

Quick question, easy tho click plz

About 15 seconds but it doesn't get too cold too often here. I don't get on it though until it warms up to normal range. I figure that 5W-20 is thin enough to get where it needs to be within a couple of seconds anyway.

    Problems...

In reference to the IAC restrictor, I started with the minimum reccomended size (from the original thread) and moved up a couple times until she ran right. It ended up being the size of a standard round file (whatever that is for the small one that's just a touch bigger than a pencil). I know...

How to tell if I did the MIL Elim right.

Sounds just like the way mine arrived but I've not crawled under a '98 yet. Anyone else? I'm just guessing but I'm thinking there are two different parts for our year ranges, did you confirm that you have the right part?

    "The Chirp"

That was interesting. Do you have a gun in the event you are attacked and need to haul butt but you can't? I don't know if I understand why the starter disable if you have the key??? She sounded good too.

    Problems...

In addition to what Trout said, I had to tinker with my IAC restrictor a couple of times until I got rid of the idle problems. I think I would remove the restrictor until you get everything cool with the new Plenum/TB. Good luck.
