Yah I have gear drive in my new motor, but it has yet to be run, motor is not installed yet, I loooove gear drives :D, some people say you get sick of the noise but since its only a weekend driver I'm not worried.

I have an 89 GT convertible as well, and they aren't reclinable because of the rear trim/armrest for rear seat, and the power isn't for reclining , its for the lower back support that goes frontward/backward a bit.

I had exactly the same problem with mine so I took them off and took the rubber seal off and resealed them with some sealer I forget what it was called it was like a year and a half ago, put rubber seals back on before it dried and its fine now. I also have the same with the backward...

Yah I bought a coupe trunk lid and then shaved the lock and emblems, looks really clean now. i'll try post a pic

Yah you can get a coupe trunk lid but then you also have to drill 6 holes in it to mount it, cuz convertible mounts differentley than coupe.

Your right on, first make an estimate how much your gonna spend, than times it by two and thats about how much you'll usually spend.

Alright thanks, just curious then why do alot of the motor mounts on ebay will say "do not fit convertibles" is it just recommended not to then or what?

alright thanks so then is the 89 block bolt up the same as a 91?

I'm putting a 91 5.0 motor in my 89 mustang convertible and I'm wondering what the difference is in the mounts, I'm putting solid motor mounts in and wondering which motor mounts are correct for my application. (89 mustang with a 91 block) any differences in block/bolt-up???

I got same lights, they should come with extra swtich for interior and I just hooked them straight up to battery, there just foglights built into headlights so you can put them on by themselves or with headlihgts etc.

Just get some off of ebay, save the hastle, there pretty good pricing too.

My brother had the same thing, its a bad connection, maybe a lil corrosion on the terminals.
