    Sold The Old Stang

Was working under my truck a few weeks ago, a vehicle stopped and a person asked if I would sell him the '65. Hadn't thought of it, but he offered me more than I expected. The money went to fixing my truck and I enjoy the extra space. Next one I buy will be completely done and ready to go...

    Interesting stuff....

It's a 4.6 SOHC dual exhaust. I got it for $600 off a former Lt. at my fire hall. Just had to clean it up bit. Fully optioned out and my son loves it. About the black powder...My grandfather was an avid collector and restorer af antique firearms. I have a north African snaphanse that dates back...

I should really visit as often as I used to. I saw in the other thread my heritage was being sullied while I was drinking good beer and eating pancakes smothered in rich maple syrup - the breakfast of champions!

What did you do to your classic Mustang today?

I cried a little, knowing how I've neglected something that has given me so much joy in the past.

Do you drive your classic in the winter?

Here's a photo or two taken while shoveling the car out to get to work a couple mornings a few years ago. I finally took the annual plates off in late '08 and just permit it periodically now.

    1969 ***PLAYBOY PINK*** FASTBACK MUSTANG

Looking at those pictures, I say throw in the V8 and paint it a desirable colour. Wheels and tyres are your choice with Magnum 500's being the most recognized in that body style. I'd wager the car will be so popular your won't want to sell it.

'67 Mustang garaged for 10 years, simple fixes to see if it starts?

You will want to drain the fuel as it will definitely have lacquered up. It would also be well advised to either buy or make an engine pre-oiler with an old distributor. And before anything, make sure you can turn the engine over by hand with a socket and breaker bar on the cank pulley.

Thinking about selling my project car, pricing?

It's a shame you have to give it up, but good on you for being mature enough to pass it on to somebody else instead of just sitting on it for an eternity. It sounds like you have some good components, other than the body, but an ambitious person may take it on for the right price.

Looking for a Mustang. Please help!!

I am also having a very hard time decoding the VIN and warranty numbers on a couple different decoders. The best I get is it is a '65 convertable with a 260 V8. And in case you didn't know, all '64 1/2s are registered as '65s, so don't be put off by this. Some differences the car in question may...
