    gt500 allocation

At this time next year Fords retailers will be having a tough time getting $45,000 for a Mustang. 10,000 GT500s/ year will be more than enough at those prices. Understand that the price will do the limiting for reasonable buyers after the initial anxious enthusiasts have have been raped by the...

    gt500 allocation

The market for the Terminators collapsed abruptly with mid 30's pricing. These GT500s are mid 40's. How many people are going to cough up 45 grand for a Mustang? This market is in for a huge reversal in the not so distant future. Paying even a small markup at this time would be very foolish.

DO NOT BUY FROM SIMI VALLEY FORD!

Half a million in fours years indeed! The car won't bring 30K in four years.

What are you paying for a new GT500?

Sorry pal, but 10-15 grand above an allready questionable sticker is hardly a "good deal" unless you are fool. $60,000 today for a car that will likely be worth $35,000 at best in 12-18 mos. is a complete hose job. Anyone who has a minimal amount of knowledge knows what will happen to the...

Help us GT500 MSRP Buyers out...

The Terminator market simply collapsed and died with mid 30's pricing. 6-7 thousand dollar discounts were needed to clear a huge number of these cars which were the hottest Mustangs ever as the GT500 is now.

Help us GT500 MSRP Buyers out...

Wait until they have made 8 or 10 thousand of them and they will be priced like any other new car. New car sticker prices are a joke and have been for decades. Who in their right mind would pay sticker for a new car?

What are you paying for a new GT500?

8-10 thousand per year for three years. Rare, collectable, exclusive, are adjectives that simply do not apply at that point.

Went to a Local Car Show and Was Surprised to See 3 GT500s...

That goes along with the JC Whitney quality stripes, unpainted mirrors, laughable curb weight, 4x4 ride height and just about every other possible corner cut to the bone on this car. The more I look at these cars the more of a joke they appear at $45,000.

What are you paying for a new GT500?

A local dealer has had their 1st GT500 tagged at $65,000. How could anyone be stupid enough to go for that? 65 grand for a 2 ton Mustang or 42 grand for a Z-51 Corvette. How long would ya need to think about that one?

Help us GT500 MSRP Buyers out...

The point where we are in the sales run of this car would be comparable to the first 5 seconds of the first quarter of a football game. Close your wallet, use your head and sit back for a while. Let things settle down. These cars have huge MSRPs for a Mustang. The current stupid market on...

What are you paying for a new GT500?

That is understandable and really an obvious alternative if you are not limited by senseless brand loyalty. I've owned Mustangs and Corvettes. They are both great cars. Went to look at a White GT 500 today and was really disapointed. The hood on these cars is just awfull and has no place on a...

    Yet another header quesiton

From what I've seen the shorties will not get the 20HP you are looking for. The consensus is to go for the LT's. I'd like to find some LT's that have an X mid pipe that can be run with cats for emissions test and then removed and a piece to replace them to go catless.

    White GT's Please Post Pic's!

White GTs look great and easy on maintanence. The GT 350 blue rocker panel stripes would look fantastic on a white mustang.

    No Wonder Ford is Hurting!

Ford will be lucky if they got a few pennies back on a dollar with this stunt. Ask the families of the recently terminated Ford workers if this was a failure. These guys are now going to suffer because Ford is losing money wholesale with blunders like this and others. I don't and won't have a...

    No Wonder Ford is Hurting!

Ford just announced that they are scrapping their flagship GT. How many hundreds of millions were lost on that failure.

    Shelby $15,000 over MSRP

You could not be more wrong. Ford is in the business of making money, not providing fools who pay markups with a rare item. Be absolutely certain that Ford can and will produce as many of these high profit units as the public will consume.

Two Guys Garage 05 Mustang GT SCT Tuned/KB Blower Episode

Thanks for posting the video! Interesting stuff and serious #s. I am wondering how they are shielding the air filter element from water. Maybe the KB set up has a shroud or isolator of some kind to do this. Good job.

It would be correct to assume then that the 4.6L blocks are identical, most aluminum and the 03/04s cast iron?
