    New (to me) battery issue

The factory battery in my '07 died just a couple weeks ago. Just like you, it was out of the blue. No warning. I replaced with with a NAPA battery and all is well. Wish I could have had more than 3 years out of the stock battery, tough.

Went to see the 2010 Camaro

Let's not gloat. If auto sales don't start improving soon we'll see Ford in this same situation before long.

    Ignition Coils?

No experience with high output coils. I have Summit Racing's brand of COPs on my Vortech supercharged 4v DOHC V8 in my Marauder. Running them with GMS' solid coil connectors. Again, smoother idle, but unfortunately I did not get a base line dyno pull with the factory COPs before I switched, so I...

    Ignition Coils?

I've never noticed any difference running aftermarket COPs on any n/a mod motor. However, I have seen some small improvements with after market coil connectors like the ones Granatelli sells. Nothing I've been able to measure in terms of HP, but I've seen smoother idle. Still, I don't think it's...

    Hard wiring radar detector questions

Yup, maybe not the most elegant solution but I've done that many times and never had any trouble. :nice:

    Vortech V3 power?

Man, you're killing me. I should be saving my money but those are such good numbers for the money. Argh!!!

    Clunk sound from rear?

This is the bracket that holds the UPPER control arm, not the two lower ones. Our cars have only one upper arm. One end of the arm attaches to the top of the differential, the other to a bracket which in turn bolts to the body. This bracket is what is pictured in the link and it did help my rear...

    Hard wiring radar detector questions

I tapped fuse location 12, bottom center. If you can't make the taps you have work you can try using bare wire. Just make sure you get a good connection.

    Clunk sound from rear?

I'm glad you revived this thread, I'd forgotten about it. I found my clunk: it was the upper control arm bracket. Apparently there is play between the bracket and the bolt that secures the arm, resulting in the clunk I was hearing. This is, I've come to find, not at all uncommon with folks who...

    Hard wiring radar detector questions

I just went to the front. I attached the ground, which is easy, and then with the other wire I just slipped it in with the fuse that was already there. They make these little taps you can solder onto the wire then just lip in with the fuse. Like these: Fuse Taps (4-Pack) - RadioShack.com

    Hard wiring radar detector questions

I don't recall, I would have to go look, which I can do for you this evening when I get home from work if you'd like. What I did was just took a volt meter and found a fuse position that was off with the key off and tapped it. If you've got a volt meter you can find one pretty quick that way.

    Hard wiring radar detector questions

I realize this isn't really what you were asking for, but I thought I'd mention this as another way to go. I ran the power cable up underneath the head liner where it meets the windshield and then down the passenger side A-pillar to the fuse box. The power cable supplied with the V1 is long...

    Vortech Supercharger

That's cool. Just seemed a little longer than what I anticipated based on my experience doing it myself. Their 10-12 hour estimate was about dead on for me. Absolutely my install would have been longer had I gone with a V2 and had to route the oil feed and return lines and tap the oil pan. If...

    Vortech Supercharger

Really? That surprises me considering there is not replacement of fuel pump and no aftercooler to mount. I think it took me about 10 to 12 hours to get the Vortech installed on my big car, and that included both pump and after cooler install. Is that 10-15 you quote just a very conservative...

Man, that non-IC kit you guys have on your GTs is really tempting me. I imagine you can get that kit installed in about four hours or so?

    Blue Angel vs...... ZR1

Was this wet thrust or just 100% military power? Did they hold the wheel brakes and run up the throttle before releasing, or was it idle to military power with no wheel brakes? F/A-18C or E model?
