    Exhaust Long Tubes

Hot, humid conditions greatly decrease the performance of these cars. Your gains from the CAI/tune and LT's sound about right for Florida weather. Cool, dry conditions would have improved your times by another 1-2 tenths for the CAI/tune, and another tenth for the LT's.

How To Replace Spare Tire In Back 2006 Mustang Trunk?

You're welcome again. I agree the board would sag if a portion of the L-bolt was cut off, but the L-bolt may not gouge a hole through the board because a shorter L-bolt will create less pressure at the contact point of the the board and L-bolt.

How To Replace Spare Tire In Back 2006 Mustang Trunk?

The L-bolt and/or its anchor point may be deformed. If both appear normal, then see if a metal or wood object can be positioned between the L-bolt and its anchor point. If that's not possible, then see if any excess can be cut off the threaded end of the L-bolt(Note: A thread cutting die may be...

05 Mustang Gt Diagnosis Help....hard Fix!

The only possible cause that comes to mind is a dodgy OEM fuel pump. It can cavitate the fuel, which causes air bubbles and engine hesitation. However, the hesitation normally happens when the car is initially accelerated after a highway cruise. It has also been known to happen less frequently...

Just an FYI. The black rubber drains(one on each side of the firewall) can also be cleaned by removing them from below the firewall inside the engine compartment.

    Weird Throttle Response

The cause of your problem is a dodgy stock fuel pump. It causes air to form in the fuel during long highway trips, which results in the engine hesitating when the vehicle is initially accelerated after exiting the highway. Replacing the fuel pump is the only solution.

    Transmission slip

Make sure the tranny fluid level is up to spec. If ok, do a couple of hard runs. The ECM softens the tranny's(and the engine's) performance whenever the car has been driven conservatively. If that doesn't help, do the following: 1- Reflash the ECU by disconnecting the battery's negative...

Do I need a tune with my mods?

At best, more realistic estimates are mid 13's with only those mods(OR pipe/axle backs), and 13 flat-low 13's by adding a CAI/tune/converter. 12's will require all of the above, plus excellent traction on the launch, a well prepped track, and mineshaft air. And it may still be a stretch to get...

A "little" Clunk Noise In The Drivetrain?

He told me to bring it back if the noise got worse. 7 years later the noise is the same, there are no drivetrain problems, and the car still runs great. I'm not worried.

A "little" Clunk Noise In The Drivetrain?

These cars make lots of noise. My 05 GT has been making that drivetrain clunking noise since I bought it in 2004. Dealer checked it, and said it's normal. I suspect your dealer will tell you the same.

Trouble with New Custom Tune - Engine stalls at low RPM & Startup sounds Oddly

No need to panic. The ECU has to re-learn the idle strategy whenever a different tune is loaded, or the battery is disconnected. And it can take as much as 50 miles of driving before the idle returns to normal.

My GT wants to die out at low speeds...Please help!

Make sure the battery is fully charged. If it's ok, then you may have disconnected the battery when the alternator was replaced. If so, the ECU has to re-learn the idle strategy whenever it's disconnected. It normally takes 20-30 miles of driving to complete the re-learning process. There's...
