    new to the forum w/question

The exhaust is going to be fine as most of the resriction comes from the cat pipe anyway.Replacing the shocks will help if the old ones are worn out.Bounce the corners of the car and see if the car continues to bounce after you stop.If it stops within a couple of bounces the shocks are OK.

Does Anyone Make a Throttle Body Spacer?

Steeda for $69.95 (04 catalog) They say 2-3 HP but most people say not to waste your money. This is probably with the stock intake in place.I believe that if they did anything the aftermarket elbow makers would have them built into their designs.Save your money and get a T/B-plenum combo.They're...

Weird sounds shifting from 1st-2nd...Need Help ASAP

It probably is the throwout bearing but the real question is how much oil did you drain out of the crankcase that would allow the low oil light to come on?:nono:The top end of the 4.6 is very sensitive to how much oil gets to the valve train.I would keep a close eye on this in the future.

The other, drivers side,of the PCV system is to allow filtered air into the engine to allow the passenger side part to pull contaminated air from the crankcase.

    air silencer

You can take the silencer out from the inside of the airbox.Just remove the filter and reach in and collapse the edge of the rubber silencer and pull it out.You can trim all but about four inches off it and still draw fenderwell air instead of underhood air.

    Brake problem, need help

Since no one else has written back I'm going to go out on a limb and say that someone put race only pads on the car????Disc pads and rotor material are made to work best as a set.You might have a mismatched set.If you have stock rotors,go back to stock pads. This is all only a guess at best but...

    Headers

I have a full Bassani exhaust w/cats that use mid-length headers.Hooker,Kooks and Bassani are the only ones that will allow transmission work with the headers in place(I believe???)Bassani headers also do not decrease ground clearance and are 50 state legal.According to MM&FF you get 17.3 HP and...

So Ford messed up my car...AGAIN. AntiFreeze in Cylinder.

This does sound like a head gasket.Unforunately it doesn't sound like it was the dealers fault.Hopefully you have some of the warranty left.I don't know if a cracked intake could contribute to this or not.I'm sure somebody on here does though.Repost and keep us all updated.

Girlfriend damaged one of her car's wheels. Is it safe? (Pics)

If she damaged one of those expensive wheels, make her replace it just for punishment.Them go and buy her some of those "curb feelers" that your Great Grandfather used to run on the Buick to keep from ruining the whitewalls.:rlaugh: Just hope she has a good sense of humor. If not ,,,well.

Loud noise in rear when going over bumps?

Agree, and look around the gas tank too. When the rear end hits the pipe it could be banging into the gas tank.Ther ain't much room under there for bigger exhausts.

    Air Conditioning

Yes unless the car is going to the track for the rest of it's life then I wouldn't recommend cutting off the A/C.After the A/C sits idle for awhile the freon will leak out and contaminants will get in.The system will have to be cleaned and charged and possibly a new compressor will need to be...

    Sparkplugs checkup.

I read something about putting Loctite on the threads also but most people said not to do this.I believe this was for Explorer heads also. Now is a good time to get a torque wrench. This way you can tighten them without worrying about stripping the threads.I would use anti seize on the threads...

help cant decide which cam to get

I know this ain't what you asked but Crane makes a new Z-cam set.I haven't read much about them yet but they talk a good fight. The main thing when buying cams is to get the ones that match your engine's flow rate and driving style best.Future mod's are also a high priority.Call the cam grinder...

    I need help, 30, 60 mph vibration....ARRRRGGGHHHH!

Personally,i'd use the body because the vibration could shake the car off the stands if put under the axle.Plus this will allow the vibration to show itself easier.

Shaking Engine/Tranny over Bumps WHILE DRIVING

Any shop with a lift could look around under your car.You could raise the car,put it on jackstands, crawl under and look around for shiny or worn places where things could be moving around.A car this old could have rotten suspension bushings that cause all kinds of problems.Repost and let us know...

    I need help, 30, 60 mph vibration....ARRRRGGGHHHH!

Raise the rear of the car and set it down on jackstands.Chock the front tires front and back to prevent any movement.Have a trusted friend get in,start the car and run it up to the speed that the vibration starts and see what's shakin'.Look to see at idle whether there is a jump in the tread of...

    Parking Brake Light

This could be caused by low brake fluid. It would be a good time to change the brake fluid as brake fluid draws moisture over time. You don't have to drain and refill, you can start by suctioning out most of the old fluid from the reservior and refill with new fluid.Next go to the right rear and...
