    Engine swap or forced induction?

Personally, I really didn't want to have to fill a bottle, or wait until I have wide-open-throttle before it kicks in, so I went with a screw-type supercharger. I love instant throttle responce at any RPM. I'm used to big block Fords and this is pretty close to one with the low end torque.

If you've had your fuel tank replaced, please read...

I use premium fuel because of the supercharger and special tune. I have never used the middle grade of fuel, always either regular or premium. I have tried several different stations, with the same problem, but it does not happen every time. We can't put our own fuel in here so it could be the...

If you've had your fuel tank replaced, please read...

My early built '05 has the "difficult to fill with fuel" problem, so I printed out the TBS 05-4-8 and took it to the dealer, and they installed a new tank (the dealer wasn't aware of the problem, but had a tank in stock). I did the first fill up after the install, and it still has the same...

How do you remove passenger side head rest

Open the passenger door, and raise the rest all the way up. Then from outside the car looking at the headrest, look at the plastic mount and you'll see a tiny hole you need to stick a small wire into while pulling up on the headrest. They pop right out, but make sure the seat is tilted back...

My pass. side rattle is fixed...here's how!

I too have always had the annoying passenger side dash rattle. Mine's 11 months old, and I still haven't taken it to/don't want to take it to a dealer. I can drop down, then remove the glove box, and see the 2 passenger air bag module bolts that hold the airbag. The shop manual says these...

stick on remote door look pad

I bought mine from Ford, stuck it under the driver's mirror so it's out of sight, it works fine.

    Solving the hood shake mystery??

My hood has had no hood shaking problems, several 105 MPH bursts, and was built in October. I recently installed hood pins "just in case", because I'm taking it to Portland Int'l Raceway on the road course in 3 weeks and will be way above 105.

    Engine braking (lack of)

Mine has a 7 second delay, then it engine brakes. It makes it really tough to go 25 down a long hill. While going down the hill at 30 or so (with my foot off the gas), right at the count of 7 the engine braking kicks in, and it slows way down, so I have to tap the gas to "reset it", and back up...

    Installed a trunk release button

One of these days I'll get a digital camera and try to do write-ups like that, great job! BTW, I'm heading out to my shop right now to add a fuse, I didn't initially install one. EDIT: I just added a 3 amp fuse and it fried on me after testing the trunk release several times. I checked it...

    Head rests

You need to push a paperclip-sized pin into a small hole on one side of the head rest to release it. One side has the button, the other has the pin hole, then it pulls straight up. Good luck!

    1,355 miles...Check Engine light

It's true, we don't have self-serve in Oregon. There are only "Commercial" type places that allow self-serve, otherwise we "regular drivers" pay extra $ to have a fuel delivery specialist pump it for us.

    Head rests

To make it so I can reach the shifter and still be far enough away from the pedals so my knees don't hit the console, the seat back has to be at a certain angle forward, and it does make my headrest very uncomfortable. I'm 5'10" and can't get comfortable (maybe I'm built wierd), but I do wish...

    1,355 miles...Check Engine light

The CEL comes on when there's an emission problem. The emission system creates a vacuum on the fuel tank to test for leaks, and it finds one, it tells the CEL to turn on. If the leak was caused by the fuel cap being loose, removing the battery cable to reset the CEL (after tightening the cap)...

    1,355 miles...Check Engine light

Mine came on once too, then I found out my OBDII code reader wouldn't work on the car, so I just pulled the battery cable for 5 minutes, then back on, no more light. The next week I received my new scanner (that reads the new CAN protocol) and it didn't show any stored codes. I'm guessing it...

    Stock Clearance Measurements Needed

Eibach lowering springs - do I need caster adjusters too?

Okay, so it sounds like it's best to just get the springs first, then if I can't get the alignment within specs, I buy the adjustment plates later! I'll let you know how it comes out. Thanks for all the input, this forum has been a great help to me in just a short time.

Eibach lowering springs - do I need caster adjusters too?

I want to purchase a set of Eibach Pro springs for my '05. The salesperson says I must buy the caster/camber adjusters or I'll eat my tires. Is this true? Thanks for your input...
