I wonder if a nice thick layer of Dynamat Extreme would aid in keeping the heat away from the intake housing. I noticed a marked difference in the surface temp (via touch) on the hood of my Eclipse when I applied a layer under the hood. Downside is that I suspect it would look like crap.

Can you please post the particulars (model #, etc...)on the single muffler that yu had installed? I cant find a listing on the flowmaster website for an '05 V6

Is it truely worth the $$ to purchase a tuner for the V6? How much of a difference does it make? I ordered my ride this week and am now looking into what I can do for upgrades.
