New engine time 00GT , whats the best solution

I tried the local ford dealership to see if they could give me any info and the parts guy said it won't work, I have a hard time believing them though cus I wouldn't consider them experts on any level. I don't even think he knew what I was talking about! I've seen a bunch of articles on engine...

I do have most of the tools needed and if not I have some friends I can borrow them from, what about getting a short block with forged internals like this: 4.6 Base Modular and reusing parts off the old motor to complete it? I found a bullet engine with 62k, is it worth making an...

Man...i got some issue with my baby!

Thats strange When is the last time you changed your sparkplugs? Even if your gaps are off that could be part of the problem. If its not the fuel its probably something with the ignition. Does it run alright when you drive it?

Engine sluggish after long winter indoors.

could be a bad battery It sounds like it might be a bad battery, you can get it tested for free at autozone. Just testing if it has juice doesn't always work. I had a problem in my daily driver with the battery it would jump, run and then it would die driving down the road. I tested the...

    Engine Knocking Sound Help

There is a knocking sound coming from my 00gt engine. I tried the short out each coil method and found that the front left (from drivers seat) made more noise when shorted. Its a pretty noticable knocking sound as soon as the engine starts, with higher rpms it goes faster. Does this sound like a...

    180 vs 160 Thermostat

The cooler thermostat will make your fan kick on at 160 instead of 180, the benifits are a slightly cooler motor, a few more hp and with that I would assume a very slight increase in mpg, this is because the engine is more efficient at a little bit lower temp than stock.

help me diagnose my exhaust problem

The mufflers could be shot, but it sounds like you have a definate leak, you should look into getting and aftermarket h or xpipe and a new catback, that should tone up your exhaust sound, and give you a few ponies
