    the 2.3 tempo's were fwd also, maybe some donor parts from one of those and a tranny would help make the sap easier. i dont think the tempo tranny would hold up to a turbo though. just buy a XR4ti. they look better than an escort i think and are way more unique.

    Its' a 89'. i have 17x8's on the front with 245/45's. with just a little bit of the fender cut off and a couple swings with a hammer i am 100% rub free. lock to lock the tires come about 1-2 centimeters from the shocks. we'll see what happens when i install my eibach pro's though.     Few qs about turbo 2.3s

    140's right. once you sit in the drivers seat of the 2.3t, you wont go back. the pull of the turbo and sound of it spooling up is very addicting. and who wants to drive around a motor that sucks up 3X more fuel and is slower? plus the turbo swap is 99% easier and 99% cheaper.
