    Modern cars as classics?

How much is a 20 year old Saleen worth these days? Or how about a Buick GNX or Mid 80s Chevy 454 SS truck or ZR1 Corvette or '78 Corvette Indy Pace car or 79 Mustang Indy Pace car or 93 Mustang Cobra... I just don't see these as good investment cars but then again who knows. Even if you...

    Discontinued parts distributer ?

Anyone know of any companies that carrier discontinued Ford parts? Someone told me of a web site one time but I can't remember it now. Looking for a Cruise Control for one of my Fords, Part number E8BZ-9A818-A.

    Ford Racing "B" springs

I have the F springs. They are ok, they don't kill the ride like some do. but I have bottomed them out a couple of times riding in the mountains. But then again I'm also running the Steeda X2 balljoint without the spacer (another 1/2" drop front) and a Kenny Brown track plus kit in the back...

Chrylser has made my decision simple

Supply and Demand. Thats whats driving up the prices. But by the end of 2008 you should be able to deal on a Shelby. I remember when the 305hp 1996 Cobra first came out, they too were being maked way up. But by the end of 1997 you could get one for below sticker. From what I read Ford is...

mobil one synthetics, oil filter intervals?

I had a 93 LX 5.0 and ran only Mobil 1 and Motorcraft FL1A filter, changed both every 5,000 miles. The car had 271,000 miles when I sold it. The guy who owns it now stopped by this weekend, has 292,000 and the motor has never been into. Doing the same for my 2003 GT. Just my $0.02.

    Car keeps Toe-ing In ?

I have a 2003 GT. Made a lot of suspension mods last year and added new tires and proptly had the frontend aligned (toe-in was set to 1/8"), about 9 months later the right front tire was wearing badly on the outside, looked like toe-in to me. Went and had the alignment checked, sure enough 5/16"...

    Opening the hoodscoop...

RoadconeTuning, I understand where you’re coming from. I have seen them made functional. But as is evident, it needs to be reinforced. Sounds like Vertigasen had the right idea about adding the straps to the inside of the scoop for support. But I’d forget cutting holes near the firewall, That’s...

    Cruise Control not working

I had an '89 GT that the cruse quit working on and it was the canister that actually opens the throttle. It was mounted in the driver side fender. I had to take the inner wheel well (that big black thing under your fender) out to get to it. I checked my ’03 GT and it looks like it’s still...

    no mufflers

I have the Magnaflow aftercat X-pipe (still has the stock cats) and SLP LM2s. I was disapointed that is wasn't any louder than it was. So I pulled the mufflers and put in a steight pipe. Much better, sounds realy good when you're getting on it. But I drive a 130 miles each day and with the...

Best lowering springs to use with Mach 1 shocks / struts

If you go with FMS use the "F" springs. They give a little more drop than the 'B' & 'C' springs. The ride is almost like stock and they will work well with the Mach 1 strut/shock combo. If you want a little stiffer ride then go with the Steeda or Eibach, both use about a 650lb rate in the front...

    cross drilled? slotted?

How much do you want to spend? So if I read this correctly you have an 04 GT that you have worn the rotors out already? You must do some hard driving. You may want to consider the Baer kit with 13" rotors front and rear, I think it runs about $1100. This setup uses the new larger PBR caliper up...

Saleen Series IV vs KenneBell 1.7 ...

OK, one more question for you KB guys, whats up with the alternator? It looks like its mounted backwards. If thats the case, does it turn backwards? And do you use the stock alternator?

    Tire size 97 mustang GT

255/45/17 is a good choice and fills out the wheel opening nicely. A friend of mine has these on his 95GT and no clearance issues. Its just a little wider and taller, but not enough to throw your speedo off more than 1 mph at 65mph. 275/40/17 are a bit much on 17x8s, a lot of sidewall flex, will...

    Which CC Plates?

I have the 4 bolt Steeda - like em - adding the 4th bolt isn't that bad. You don't realy need a 4 bolt plate unless you run a lot of + caster. I'm running 285/40/17 on the front so I needed as much +caster as i could get. I pushed them as far back as they would go, then matched them up.

Saleen Series IV vs KenneBell 1.7 ...

... or disgruntled Saleen Customer. So after waiting for my Series IV for 3 1/2 months (15 weeks)(105 days) and still getting the same old song... just 2 more weeks... check back at the end of the month... I gave up and canceled my order and asked for my money back. So now I'm looking at the...

    Tire Poll

I have the Goodyear Eagle F1 GS D3s, 285/40/17 on 17x9 Bullits all the way around. I love em and plan to buy them again. I'm a big BFG fan but decided to try the Goodyears after reading the reviews on TireRack. Price was $199 each + shipping.
