    Leather Conditioner

This stuff seems good, smells like leather, and doesn't leave it looking shiny or oily like some do, I like it so far! I believe, unless they have changed since 2000, the only thing leather are the front seating surfaces, not including the headrests!

    2005 looks nice,but,

Damn, all's they had at the New Mexico Auto Show was the red concept car, I was hoping to see the real thing! They did have the Ford GT though, and some really nice "other" cars!

    05 Leather

I think the tilted forward headrest, may be an "active headrest", that come forward towards you on impact, my G35 has that type, and they are tilted forward.

    V8 base Mustang

I ordered my last three Ford vehicles, the dealer was fine with that, too bad they were sold! And, yes, Ford does not care about the customer, and that is wrong IMO!

GM guy here, thinking of a '05, I don't know though, knowing of ford quality....

Wait, are you sure it's an '83, or was this a typo? I seem to remember they did away with the F-100 in model year 1975 or so, and that was to keep it above a certain GVW so it didn't require emission stuff, my dad leased a '75 and that was the first F-150 I remember.

    2005 Cougar

Is that Burningman from Burmingham? LOL  Actually, I think the pic of the Cougar reminds me some of those old '70's "Cuda's"

    64 Mustang 289

LOL, that looks funny to see "backup lights" listed as an option! Was there an option for bigger wheels? I seem to remember seeing some with 15's, or maybe it was 14, were 13's standard on those old Mustangs? And yes, I always remember the first Mustang being called a '65, not a 641/2!

Trading in for 05: The ugly topic of resale value

Oh, you think so? I had an '81 Ghia, higher level interior, I had to have the drivers seat upholstery replaced three times in 6 years, the first when it wasn't even 2 years old, that car had a lot of rattles and creaks inside s well, I did like the "wood tone" steering wheel though, that was...

Trading in for 05: The ugly topic of resale value

Yes, the resale sux on the current Mustang GT, you can't even go by the KBB or NADA books, when I traded my '00 Vert in October, I got $13k, but, a short time later, they had one very similar to mine on their lot for $13k, retail, and the only difference was it didn't have leather, they sold...

    The $20K V8 thread

That is so true, I knew a guy who had a '64 Savoy two door sedan, with the 426 Hemi in it, he surprised the hell out of everybody who saw it, that thing was like a rocket, looked like it would have been his dad's car or something!

Who wants Ultra High Res images of the new stang?

Geez, these are fantastic pics, and nice that they are 300dpi, I wasn't sure they would be that hi-res, but I opened some in Photoshop, and they are fine!!

    The Complaint Department

No kidding, is the rubber still good? You know, there was a recall on the canister or the tire of some sort, seems to me it had to do with the way it inflated, guess it popped up and injured some people as they inflated it, I never had to use mine, good thing, that car had the F60-15"s on it...

The SpaceSaver spares have come a long way since 1972, I am sure, actually, I thought those had been replaced with the mini-spare. Oh, I know, I had a friend who had a '66 Corvair Monza, that little thing was fun to drive!

    The Complaint Department

It's funny how Ralph Nader went after the Corvair but never the Mustang, hmmm, wonder if he worked for Ford! My '72 Mach had one of those "collapsable" spares, useless!

The worst I had was my '72 Mach 1, damn that trunk was small, and the fuel neck made it worse, what was even more scary about that car and the tank, was you could fold the back seat down and open an access to the trunk!

    Concept vs. Production photos

Well, geez, since when do concepts and production models match exactly, it's damn close, like was mentioned in an earlier reply, they do have to make it work in the "real world" the same thing happened with the '97 F-150 when it came out, had the same basic lines, but many things were different...
