    I believe AFR 185s do come emissions legal and will support over 500hp(at the crank).As for an intake:shrug: should be somthing out there for a 351.

    The answer will depend on your rocker arms. This is copied right from AFR's tech artical for installation instructions on Ford smallblocks. I believe that the recomended Stud is .100" longer.

    This was my thought, also. What tranny are you using? I read on here some time ago a fellow had a similar failure when using a 4 cylinder tranny, they have an approx. .250" longer input shaft. Good luck.

    .060" is the absolute minimum, however .100" is recomended. I would not estimate the clearence by calculating the 1.7 ratio, use a 1.7 and measure it. good luck.

    boxing upper & lower rear control arms?

    I have boxed upper and lower rear control arms with urethane bushings. The quad shock is not necessary as wheel hop is no longer a problem. The down side is the rear sway bar mounts inside the control arm. Once boxed the sway will no longer be mountable.

    My stock tach reads 6500rpm when my autometer shift light comes on at 5800rpm, rev limiter is passed 7000rpm, this really impresses the ricers because they don't know any better(around here anyways) :D .
