    Shelby 1" Drop + 1" Drop Springs?

It has been quite awhile since I've logged on. Right now i'm doing a buncch of front frame rail work and have the engine out. So I've been thinking of the 1" Shelby A-frame drop. Here are my questions. Is it recommended to do the 1" Shelby drop and use 1" drop springs? Or is it better to...

Master cylinder going to cause gray hairs

Just Like "dennis112" said, I used a manual brake, disc up front and drums in the rear, dual bowl master cylinder from a 74 Maverick. You should be able to order one from napa or similar store, thats where I got mine. Hang on to your old mc piston pushrod I had to use it. The new one is too...

Got me a 9" and a couple questions.

When you decide on a new carrier you will want to make sure the spline count is the same as your axles. :canada:

    Pitman Arm Install

I don't have the Flaming river box but I do have stock manual steering on my 65. The Pitman arm should be keyed and only go on one way. If I were sitting in the drivers seat it would hook left. Then you would put the lock washer and nut on and torque it to spec. I don't think it is...

    Truck 302?

Chances are the truck engine will have a different Cam than the 5.0 HO engine. It will have the 15426378 firing order. The 5.0 HO engine for the stangs has the Cam with the 13726548 firing order. Most likely it will be a roller cam block. If you want more power you would want to change cams...

O.K. looks like code 118 came up the first time I pulled the codes. Then the second time i got the all clear 111 code and the continuous codes 223&224 which have come up in the past. The first time I let it warm up and ran it around the block before taking the codes. The second time was...

    Need help trouble shooting?

O.K. I am going to pull the codes as we speak. I will post my findings shortly. The back pressure test was taken at the union after the cats and before the muffler. Yes the test is to see if the cats have melted down. I could only view from the waiting area but it was some type of meter that...

    Need help trouble shooting?

Thanks RustBucket, This sounds like a good place to start. The only things I didn't include in my first post is that the oxygen sensor was replaced about a year and a half ago aswell as a tune-up that included new spark plugs and wires, fuel filter and I have 234,000 kilometers on the engine...

    Make my '67 Coupe Handle

Here is what I have done to my 65 coupe, changed to 5 leaf rear springs and added a 1" front sway bar. Did the Granada Front Disc brake swap. Redid all front end steering linkage. Also added under-rider traction bars. Here are all the parts I have but haven't installed yet, just finished...

    Subframe Connectors

If these are original springs then chances are the bolts are seized in there. I recently replaced my rear springs and there was no chance of getting the bolts out of there alive. I wound up using a sawzall and a grinder. Buy extra blades because you will be breaking more than one. I used the...

    Rear Axle De-Coding

Thanks Guys, I originally thought that it was a 3.25:1 open by my crude method of spinning the tire one revolution and watching to see how many times the pinion spun around. My calculations were out just a bit! I appreciate the replies. :hail2: Camshaft 78 I had a look at that site. My...

    Rear Axle De-Coding

Hi All, Wondering if you guys could help me out with my 8" Carrier. I know you guys don't like to hear this but I borrowed one from a 1978 Mustang II, it had a 2.8 Litre V-6 with an automatic tranny. The axle code was "7". BTW it was slated to get crushed soon at the wreckers so I salvaged...

    Subframe Connectors

I am in the process of making my own sub-frame connectors. The ones I am making are basically the same ones they give you instructions to on the Mustang and Fords site under the tech articles. These guys recommend that you use four Drive up ramps to set your vehicle on when you get to the...

Help Me! Turn Signal Wiring issue

You should be able to order it through them if they don't have it. The kit I have is #3294 which is for 65-67 Mustangs. Mine came with my woodgrain wheel when I ordered it. I think the actual wheels are somewhat generic and they sell installation kits that are more specific.
