I didn't use the black/orange wires. I just used the white wire for the stator connector and a 4g wire to the solenoid. new grounds are next. it just had me floored since I didn't do anything extra and it didn't work.

I figured it out. whoever owned the car before us had all the wiring on the solenoid wrong. the starter wire was on the post closest to the firewall and the battery cable was on the other. all of those other plugs were just stuck on both. I found a digram here for the correct way to have them...

ok, I replaced the + cable with a new one. I also replaced the - clamp with a new one. I also cleaned the wires(for the neg) before I put the new one on. I cleaned the battery posts as well. I still have absolutely nothing. the connections on both the battery as well as the solenoid are tight so...
