    Shifter Install

Ok, I'm trying to get back at this and I'm coming across a few more issues: 1) I've got the car supported on jack stands. Only 3 are making contact with the car. The driver's rear has a good 1/4 inch left to go before it will sit on the stand. The body is not flexing at all to rest on the last...

    Engine Car Overheats In Traffic?

What thermostat is in the car right now? Has it been going on since the HCI or did it run ok for awhile? Is there an air bubble in the system somewhere?

Well that sucks. I'm trying to drop the T5, I should be able to wiggle it through there as it comes down right?

    Shifter Install

Could someone please explain how to remove the bottom right bolt of my shifter? This is the shifter to transmission bolt iirc. I installed the thing and dont remember having this problem but it is tucked under sheetmetal towards the passenger seat. EDIT: I guess this is a removal...sorry for...

    Seat Track Choices

Good to know! Now that I think about it, I did have a set of leather seats from a 98 in my 93. The height difference was because the actual seat was slightly higher than a fox seat (more cushion?).

    Drivetrain Clutch Cable Adjustment

Ok, I tried to adjust the cable but am still having the same issue. I started with the cable loosened on the throwout bearing arm (?) with ~1/8 - 1/4" deflection on the cable when pulled with my finger. Would not shift into gear while running but immediately went into all gears (without using...

    Seat Track Choices

http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/threads/seat-swap-question.853726/ It looks like any of the tracks will work. If I recall...the power connectors can be different from year-year and you may need to splice on a new connection.

    Thinking of buying this 88GT

It looks straight and clean. Interior looks very nice. You know some of the history so that's a bonus, but 180K is getting up there. I would think with the C4C program going on, it'd be harder to get a fox for under 3500 since people can trade them in for at least 3500. I dunno though, i'm...

    Throttle body stuck!

The cable attaches to the throttle body at the pivot arm (which opens the plate inside the T.B.). The cable is snapped onto a "ball" on this arm. You can use a screwdriver to pry it off this "ball." It shouldnt take too much effort to get it off.

    Throttle body stuck!

it sounds like you got everything. The 4 nuts/bolts/studs are all that really keeps it on. it's probably been a long time since it was off last (if ever). It's probably just stuck and needs a tap. Try a rubber mallet or a hammer and a block of wood. Don't go too crazy though. I wouldn't try...

    quick fuel pump question

yeah hmmm.... I think I should probably put heat-shrink on it. I just figured I'd ask because I couldnt come up with anything through searching. How will heat shrink hold up to gasoline? I imagine those wires get gasoline on them....being in the tank and all....
