    new 5.0 auto vs. stick

I bought a manual 2011 last year. It was a job 1 car and had all sorts of clutch issues. When it worked it worked great. Unfortunately I ended up getting fed up with its issues and recently traded for an auto car. The auto is very stout. With a tune it chirps the 2-3 shift hard. You definitely...

    Mustang backseat

I just drove my coworker around in the back seat. We drove every bit of 600 miles. She is 4'11" though.

Not a fan of the "5.0 is back" theme

Bringing back the 5.0 should go down in history as one of the best marketing ideas ever. When I first drove the car home from the dealer my 75 year old neighbor who has not talked to me since I moved in 2 years ago came running over and chatted me up for an hour about the car. When the 2010 came...

Corrosion. Keep it or sell it?

The hood is aluminum so you don't have to worry about rust. If you decided to get a new car try Ziebart. They spray rust proofing in the door seams and other rust prone areas.

    2011 GT 5.0 or 07-09 Shelby GT 500

you messed up by driving a 2011 GT500 first. Nothing will hold a candle so just suck it up and figure out how you are going to get the extra money to buy it. You would be really surprised how low the invoice is for the GT500.

Anyone confirm GT can run on regular gas without problems?

I am fairly certain the dealer filled it with regular before I took delivery. In the manual it says you can run regular but it performs best with premium.

    my test drive - 2011 v6 - HELP

Did they say why the car may have 100 miles on it? I bought a new V6 in 2007 that was a demo with 2,000 miles on it. The MSRP was 19,995 and I got it for 15,995. My 2011 GT had 120 miles on it when I bought it a few weeks ago. Judging by the April build date all of those miles are from test...

    Car seat for the Mustang

I fit two booster seats in the back for my daughters. A regular car seat means you will have to scoot the front seat pretty far forward in my experience.

2010 GT Convertible Vs 2011 GT Convertible

My Base 2011 GT was a bit over $30k. When I was buying it the sales guy asked if I was interested if I was interested in a 2010 that was less money. I said no because I really wanted a 2011. However the 2010 he spoke of was a Premium Vert with a sticker price over $42k. So if you are at all...

    Mustang Gt 5.0...High speed dangerous?

I know 3 people with new muscle cars (2-GT500's 1- Camaro SS) . This is the first sports car for each of them. These are the people who lift mid corner or hit a corner full throttle. If you are on this forum you are probably enough of an enthusiast to avoid these situations. I've been driving...

    Navi?

When I am near home I don't use it since Chicago has a grid layout with a great numbering system. When I get into the burbs things get tricky. Besides that, the POI's are great when you are looking for something specific. I drive around a lot on the weekends for fun. I look up restaurants in...

    Gas Cap

I actually flip the cap over the gas door so it doesn't cause any scuffs. If you look at the tether you will see a U shaped design that is perfect for holding it to the fuel door.

    Navi?

Updates are generally not available for factory Navi units. Its generally more difficult to bypass factory navigation. Then the biggest gripe is of course, the price. Factory navi is $2k. I paid $699 for my avic-d3. The i-pod integration alone make it far better than the factory unit. The only...

    lower body stripe opinion

I know this isn't a tech question but I was looking for advice from the v6 contingent. I picked up a grabber orange coupe on Saturday and the dealer installed some God awful stripes on it. It had dual black 8" stripes from bumper to bumper and had a lower stripe like the GT500 except it said...
