Sorry it took so long to get back, went out of town for a few weeks, I haven't run the motor over about 3g, as far as the break in i dont have a 100 miles on the motor. I'm affraid to mess it up any more than it already is, had a few peep tell me they think its gas, not really sure though...

hey i just built a 347 stroker motor, i have keith black forged pistons hawks racing nodular iron crank, i beam connecting rods, molly rings, gt 40p heads with 1.90 intake and 1.65 exhaust valvs. ok just a brief discription of my motor not for the problem, after my motor warms up 10-15 mins it...

get the medal ones, i bout the plastic one and had the same problem with them as the stock ones. i used bolts both times insteat of riviots, all in all its an easy task to do.

personally i would go with a 600-650 cfm but i would stay away from holley. I have a holley on my car right now and have had nothing but problems out of it. Keeps blowing power valves, and have had numerous of other problems, i'm about to change to either an edlebrock carb or demon...

is that where the rocker has a bolt the holds it int he head or is that where the head has a stud in it and the rocker has a nut that holds it on

i have gt40p heads for my mustang. does anyone know what kind of rocker arms they use, like are they stud mount or pedastole mount? Please help.. Thank you for your time

Ok i was putting my motor together last night, well today i had to pull the crank back out to trim my cylider walls for clearance.. I'm building a 347. I noticed that two of my rod bearings must have had a piece of sand on them b/c they both had a scratch in the center all the way around...

by the fillet are you talking about the two little marks on the rod?

Ok here it is i'm building a 347 stroker, does the connecting rod have to go into the piston a certain way, like does it matter which way you connect it to the wrist pin? all i see is the bearing retainers on one side of it so do they need to be on a certain side? any info will help...

with no oil pressure it could be your oil pump... as far as the metal shavings...if your not hearing any noise it could have been from the oil filter comming apart inside, seen it happen alot especially with fram filters.. With only 40k on your motor its hard to beleive that you need to...

have you checked for clogged cats? if you even have them, i have seen many of cars do that because of the catalatic converters being clogged

hey does anyone know what years they put the 164 tooth flywheel on mustangs? I'm having a balancing isue with my flyweel and come to realize that i put a 50 oz on mine and need a 28 oz just not sure what tooth i need. Thanks for the help
