Poll: Should Ford do a hard top convertible like other cars are doing our should it always be a rag top? Just curiosity getting to me.

    Too Much Clutch Pedal Travel

It just hit me what could cause it... If some of the bolts broke that hold the clutch to the flywheel. That might cause it. Could be just enough movement to give me this headache lol

    Too Much Clutch Pedal Travel

Not sure you guys are catching what the problem is. It's not an adjustment problem because if I change the fwa and move it out, I won't have the press it so hard into the floor to disengage but it won't go up far enough to reengage to drive it, same but flipped for the opposite. If I go in more...

    Too Much Clutch Pedal Travel

I have a firewall adjuster, forgot to mention that. But it's not a problem with where it disengages. The problem is that it takes the entire pedal travel to disengage and when the pedal is fully up it's still not fully engaged yet.

    Another Clutch Thread

Okay, so I did a t-5 swap on my car and put a firewall adjuster, and double hook quad with a new OEM cable. The pedal is very firm, (I like it that way) but since it could be a symptom I'm just putting it out there. Here's my problem, I have the cable in the hook closest to the fw and the fw...

    Trans Temp Gauge

I have one on my truck and it's in the trans houseing in a factory hole. The best place to get an accurate temp reading is in the trans itself, pan, case, etc as long as it's in the fluid. In the line will cool off a little since the heat is generated in the trans.

    building 83 5.o

Yes it all depends what you want to do and how much you want to spend. I'd suggest getting the heads rebuilt with new valves and seals. And possibly new pistons and rings can all make a noticable change in a tired motor. That's just if you want to "freshen" it up a little, or you can do like...

    swap helpV8

I would keep it a v6, you don't see very many anymore. I think they only made about 1000 of them and I'm pretty sure 84 was the last year they put it in the fox body cars. Might be worth more in the future not to change it.

    Plexiglass scratch repair

It is Lexan, but when I say that to most people they reply with "WTF is that?" I tried headlight restorer from Turtle Wax, but that actually made it worse (small area on pass. side). How 'bout just a rubbing compound and a buffer?

    Plexiglass scratch repair

Hey guys, My race car has a plexiglass windshield in it and it's scratched from washing the car so nothing too deep. Just wondering if anyone else here has plastic windows and what products you've used to buff out the scratches.

no pressure in radiator/doesnt get hot

Disconnect the top hose from the radiator. Start the engine, if water does not come out of the hose you're pump is bad or your belt is routed incorrectly and the pump is running the wrong way or you have a clog. If water is coming out, then everything is working fine and your radiator just...

    aftermarket quadrant, clutch pedal question

Yes, stock cable, with firewall adjuster, I'm not talking about where it engauges, it's working fine, it's when it's all the way out with my foot off the pedal it sits really high. I'm just wondering if there's a trick to put a stop in so the pedal doesn't come "out" so far.

    89 Mustang GT turbine wheels

I sold my turbines at the same moment I decided to sell them, to an aluminum scrap yard, got about 25.00 each. I didn't mind them but I wanted my Bullits cause they were easier to keep clean. I just got tired of storing my turbines.

    aftermarket quadrant, clutch pedal question

Hey all, I just put in 50resto's single hook quad. (I thought I ordered the double, but that's for another thread). Now that it's installed, it's working fine but my clutch pedal sits about 1.5 - 2" higher than the brake pedal. Have any of you had this problem and what did you do to fix it?

How do you guys decide where to buy parts from?

The answer to your question is not where I shop, it's why I shop there? I mainly find the parts I need online, I never order from a magazine even though that might be where I get the idea to buy from. I don't ever pay attention to web ads or mag ads. I choose the company based on customer...

Grinding while I shift into gear

Once you get it into gear does it stay there or pop out? Can you fully engauge the gears with the engine off? There's no slave cylinders in our cars, they're manual clutches. Unless it's aftermarket hydralic or I'm totally mistaken, but every mustang I've seen and worked on had a manual clutch...
