    dipstick tube How to get it in

    The easiest way to install the dipstick tube is to do it when you are putting the head on or remove the exhaust and put it on......It just doesn't go on easy with the head and exhaust already bolted on........... :spot:

    Cams! Please help

    If you want tons of power above 2500 rpm and a very noticeable rough idle I would go with the Comp Cam XE 278......I run these in a 306 stroker and love them. I would also go with Comp Cams beehive springs as the .550 lift is almost too much for stock springs...........

    strange miss, cant figure it out!

    Check the wiring going into the coil packs and make sure the wires have not pulled out a little bit.......They sometimes pull out of the rubber connector even though it looks like it is connected properly inside the coil.......

    Cammed Stangers - how's your gas mileage?

    I am running a blown 306 stroker and get about 12 mpg on the average with 3:55 gears. That is with Comp XE 278 cams.....................

    I run almost the same setup in my '96 Saleen with a blown 306 stroker.......The XE 278 cams are gonna lope regardless of the tune you get..............

    Which Cam Setup would be best?

    Comp XE278AH cams work for me in my 306 blown stroker.....You better like a lopey idle though and I would use Comp Cams beehive springs if I were to do it over.......The stock springs give out about 6000 with the .550 lift.............

    I am running the XE278AH Comp Cams in a '96 306 stroker with a supercharger. Definately a lopey idle but serious power in the 2500 - 6000 rpm range. Your stock springs are good to .550 lift which is what the 278 has..........

    Tri-ax is a little loud, anyone else have this issue??

    Tri-Ax definately more vibration/noise in 4th gear than Pro-5.......I traded a new Tri-Ax for a used Pro-5 with much quieter performance.......

    Roush Oil in intake wtf?

    I had something similar happen to my '96 Saleen recently.....I kept getting oil in the intake before the supercharger and finally found that the hose from the drivers side valve cover connecting to the intake was blowing so much oil it was collecting in the intake and running down into the air...

    If the scratches are all the way down to the primer you can't do a lot about it but go to the automotive paint store and ask them to mix you a small bottle of touch up paint using the paint code on your door......If the scratches did not go to the primer then use 3M Imperial Hand Glaze on a soft...

    GT needs coil packs???

    Also check the connections going into the coil packs. They can get corroded or wet and engine will miss like you've got a plug wire off or something......
