    Carb ID

How can I tell what carb I have? The tag is gone. I just need to replace the accelerator pump diaphragm. Its either the factory 2bbl or something similar.

    Ride Height

This sway bar thing has turned out to be quite an anomaly. The bar meets Addco specs. My frame and control arms meet factory specs, but for some reason this bar will not fit. Addco has offered to adjust the bar to my dimensions, so I am trying to get the suspension where I want it before I...

    Ride Height

The sway bar was rubbing before. I haven't driven it without the sway bar yet, so I can't say if it is. Wouldn't I increase the chance of upper ball joint failure if I removed some of the bump stop?

    Ride Height

I am still having issues with sway bar fitment on the car. I believe part of the problem is ride height. I have 620# 1" drop coils on the car. I did not cut them. You can't see the dimensions in the pic, but the gap between the UCA and the bumpstop is only about an 1.5" at ride height. This...

    Sway bar

I have stock drum brake spindles. I compared the measurements of the sway bar I have to one they have in stock and its the same bar, correct part for my car. Why is it such a difficult fit? AW

    Sway bar

Didn't install it upside down. I installed it with the elbow pointing down. 19stang66 posted some pics of his front end a while back, I verified it is installed in the correct orientation.

    Sway bar

The car has been driven plenty sense the original installation. The sway bar is rubbing badly against the frame on both sides. I had this problem at installation, but I cut the spacer down on the end links and it fit. After some miles, it is easy to see that the sway bar is still rubbing the...

    Sway bar

I posted a few months back when I redid the front suspension. Had issues getting the sway bar to fit. Well I got underneath it today to work on the steering and saw rub spots, so I removed the sway bar. When I took the sway bar off, I set the car back on the ground and noticed the ride height...

    Lubing the steering box

Going to replace some steering components this weekend, figured it would be the time to grease the gearbox. Does anyone know the procedure for lubing the gearbox? I remember someone posting a link to a very thorough vintage mustang steering page, but I can't seem to find it when I search...

Anybody see the 351C build in this months MM mag? Its a joke...

I thought it was worthless as well. They spent money on forged pistons and 320 horses. And on the cheap? Didn't it end up costing 4500 dollars?

    Best front suspension kit

I recently purchased Laurel Mountains master front suspension kit, 620 springs, and sway bar. One of the new control arms was built with an incorrect fastener. I also had more trouble with sway bar fitment than most. Currently waiting on LM to send me a replacement stud. Everything else fit...

    Control arm bolts

Pressed in sounds right. Are they smooth shank or splined? If they are smooth, will any 1/2" fine threaded bolt that is not fully threaded work or are they special fasteners?

    Control arm bolts

Someone has to know if these are pressed in or threaded in?

    Control arm bolts

How the do the front UCA bolts attach to the UCA? My new UCA from Laurel Mountain came with an incorrect bolt, it was 1/2" coarse rather than fine and about an inch too short. Still functions just fine until I need to add shims, now I am running out of threads. Laurel Mountain has never...

    Shims

Is there a place I can buy alignment shims? I plan on getting it professionally done eventually, but there is no point in doing that until the suspension is finished. But I would still like to drive it in between projects. I figure I could get the camber and toe pretty close with a tape...

    Timing Help

I've never done it on a SBF, but it can't be too different from anything else. Remove the bolts that hold the larger gear to the cam. Remove the gear and chain. Use a 3 jaw puller to remove the lower gear. Heat the new gear before installation and it should slide right on to the crank. Put...

    Sway bar issues

    Sway bar issues

So did the 64 1/2s have a different front subrame? I looked at 19Stang66's pics in his disc brake thread and the lip along his frame rail is like 1/3 of the size of mine. The 64 1/2 has a much wider lip and a notch cut in it for the sway bar. This seems to be my problem. Wish I would have...
