I received the same letter for my 2014 5.0 GT, as a technician for Toyota we are currently replacing airbag inflators on certain models for the passenger side and recently the driver side as well. It took a long while before we got parts in stock but it normally fell under a special order part...

Focus on doing the suspension mods that will get the power to the ground first...

It's all on your preference what tone you want (X or H) and how loud you want it to be which may determine your choice on getting cats or going with a O/R set up with resonator delete and axlebacks. But I'm sure there are some good threads on set ups. Plenty of websites to go browse like...

I got the Bassani axle backs really like the sound they give off.....they have a deep rumble to them and are loud on the high rpm:)

i had them on my 03 gt before it was totaled, good mod at peak hp not much of a gain but in the mid range power is where they perform really good and it does make the engine rev up quicker.....

yup that permatex stuff works great and i use that over any of the other stuff just for the fact that i havent had any issues as far as leaks are concerned

this is true they are stretch type bolts ^^^^^..... to the O.P that torque sequence is what they call for and it varies from engine to engine....

oh ok just get the caps and set everything to spec and you'll be ok cause once the lifters build up the oil pressure inside them it will eliminate any minimal lash left but u may also have a collapesed lifter i would check those out also and replace them if needed

well these have hydraulic lifters to begin with so getting all valves at zero lash shouldnt be dificult given its a stock top end. if u r missing some caps then replace them with new ones, and u should be rotating the motor so that when u are setting the lash its on the base of the cam

if you r gonna re check the backlash and adjust here is a write up i did, i originally posted it on the 4.6L tech cause i had a 03'GT...but the actual gear swap was done on my 5.0L here is a link to it...

any company that makes gears for the 8.8 ford rear end will bolt/fit right in but if u r planning on doing the swap yourself u will need alot of special tools to do the job and have some experience.....but i will strongly suggest you get a shop to the swap

well they have been putting mobile sniffers around kinda like a check point and wave cars by and randomly pick out cars and throw them on that portable dyno sniffer......i really hate my states government :nonono:

they have an actual connector tube sold at autozone i believe the size is 5/8 < 3/4 or somewhere in that area but it is a 2 size connector

if you have the necessary equipment and tool along with a repair manual it shouldnt be a probelm doing it yourself.......but what kind of performance power levels are you looking for you have choices from mild rebuilt 5.0L with H/C/I, 306 H/C/I, or 347 route?????

oh ok im actually going with the SN-95 set up i had a 03' GT was totaled i kept the cobra rotors and calipers i had installed and also kept my aftermarket bullit rims, so im getting everything piece by piece....... at the moment i have most of the stuff for the back (going rear disk set up)...

for 399 is it SN-95 styled also???

yes the saleen's will fit.....only if they made a kit with just the spindles also i would buy it but for now still looking in junk yards
