    rims and tires

Human nature doesn't change. I remember when people thought I was strange for insisting on 15" rims instead of 14s.

That must have been fun. How is the ride and is what were his comments after driving it?

    restoration shop lawsuit

A daily driver to me is one that is nice and presentable and fully functional, but not a show car. Say, a #3 to a #2 using Hemmings Old Car Price Guidelines versus a trailered #1 show car with mirrors underneath it at the show. You wouldn't drive a #1 show car daily because it would be...

Yet another tire and rim question...

I'm not sure how the Baer brakes change the equation, but you shouldn't need a spacer or have to roll the lips with six inch backspacing. A 255 series tire would be ideal on the 9 inch wheel. A popular size is to go with 9.5s and 275s.

    Help/advice with wheels

I imagine that the front backspacing is maxed out, but the back has some more room if someone wanted to stuff even more tire under there. Is that the case?

Very nice stance and look. I believe you said the fronts were 9s, what bs did you end up with? MD

    Help/advice with wheels

Mine is really a vote for different sizes front to rear. The 255s would probably rub on the front unless you squeezed them on too small a rim.

    Help/advice with wheels

A worthy goal Cupid, but I don't think you'll be happy with 235s all around. That does not come even close to filling out the fenders. If you insist, I would recommend 4.5 inches of backspacing. Any more and the rear tires will be as drawn in as certain body parts when surfing in the...

Mach 1 from the Forest ( with Pics )

I started buying 69 and 70 mustangs in 1978 in Northwest Florida. There were plenty of 70 models with original 351 2V Windsor motors in that area.

Help me get my stance right (lots of pics)

I've got an open mind, but it would be hard to convince me that 17" low profile tires makes a lowered and modified stang handle worse.

Help me get my stance right (lots of pics)

I agree that where the tire is sitting inside the fenderwell is damn near perfect. Also, the ride height is excellent. Even so, this set-up would look far better if it had 17s or 18s.

widest tires in back in stock wheel-wells?

This will be interesting to follow along. It sounds like you've already got your rims, what is the width and backspacing?
