Throw a few mods on a the GT500 and make 600rwhp easily. Go farther and 800rwhp is possible with race fuel. All on the stock motor. That says a lot about the potential that engine has. Ford just keeps it on the tame side. If Chevy had a 550 hp Camaro at $40k... you better believe the GT500 would...

Goodluck I hope you are in line for a GT500KR, but I would be very surprised if that is the case. Infact I would bet it is a stall tactic. Hope so for you though.

yea... and then you have guys like me who are blue blooded Ford guys for years that ended up buy a Chevy because of the insane prices the GT500s are going for at dealers. I paid a little more and got a SUPER CAR!!!!

My buddies boss has FOUR GT500s and has TWO PJ Saleens one the way! Luckily I usually get a chance to drive his cars to check them out at some point. Looking forward to seeing the PJ.... Maybe I can work out a back to back drive with a PJ and a GT500. Will post my findings.

Same thing happened to me. Had an MSRP deal on the table for a year.. until time came to order the car.. then got screwed. I got a Z06 instead. I made lots of calls(150+) before I found the price I wanted to pay, but it is worth every penny!!!
