    Vacuum in 5.0 at idle?

    The engine load and throttle position play a big part in engine vacuum. I see about 18 inches (if not inches then whatever it is) at cruise in 5th, and about 20 at idle. I could see that low number causing a problem, but I'm unsure how much vacuum the brake booster requires to fully opperate?

    Aside from that, I don't know if it's your problem, but I would make sure that all vac/boost lines have zipties tight around them at both ends. That would at least help eliminate one of them possibly leaking boost to the atmosphere.
