Ford Racing harness and A9M ??

I want to verify the pinout on the aftermarket Ford Racing engine management harness is the same as my '90 a9m computer. Calling the hotline always ends in a busy signal.

M-2450-A fits in sn95 proportioning valve?

M-2450-A is the proportioning valve plug for a Fox car. This is used when gutting the stock valve for an aftermarket adjustable proportioning valve. Will it fit in a '95 model? If not what works?

MarkVII axle into a '95 Mustang?

Update. The axle went in fine. The ebrake works fine. I cut 3 inches from the stock cable housing and welded on the MarkVII ends.

99 GT brakes on my 94 gt?

I have installed 2 sets of '99+ pbr calipers. They were $40.00 a set complete with brackets and hoses at the salvage. The first set on my tbird has phenolic pistons and they drag slightly until the car rolls. The second set I bought for the Mustang has steel pistons. Make sure you get the...

MarkVII axle into a '95 Mustang?

I just picked up a 3.27 trac-lok axle from a Mark for 100 bux. Should be a nice change from the 2.73 and crappy solid rotors. The housing will directly bolt up but I'm wondering what to do with the e-brake. I have a 5 speed so I need the e-brake functional. Has anyone done this swap?

    Junkyard GT40P 331/347 Stroker Setup

Originally I was going to just install the explorer motor, but it looked kinda crusty. One thing led to another. I had a matched combo for a 302 until the intake valves wouldn't clear the pistons. Good thing they didn't clear since at least 1 wristpin was slightly galled. 42 extra cubes was...

    Junkyard GT40P 331/347 Stroker Setup

I'm doing this same combo. My original plans of a budget 302 went adios when the intake valve wouldn't clear the stock exploder pistons. There are no pistons made with deeper valve reliefs that weigh the same as explorer pistons. Some crappy hypers within 25 grams were the closest. Balancing was...

    whining intake noise

The whistling noise is gone, but the whining going down the road is louder now. My 10" tci converter tossed a fin or something. It's all General Motors fault for making cheap crap converters that can be modified to make a Ford faster and my fault for buying one. Oh well, sounds like a good...

How common is this? (FRPP Jet Hot Headers)

They say don't break in a new motor with ceramic headers, did you? You haven't been running lean, have you? Timing too slow? Open the hood immediately after blasting down the highway at night at 70mph for 15 minutes. Are those tubes orange?

    whining intake noise

Yeah, all the hoses hooked up proper and good condition. The pcv goes in the plenum twice with a T like factory. The canister line hooks to the pcv valve. The vacuum ports in the plenum have pipe plugs except the pcv. I drilled and tapped a hole for the brake booster/ pressure regulator vacuum...

    whining intake noise

I'm not real sure what a 'whistling throttle body' sounds like. I may have one. The intake and tb are from a '99 explorer. The tb is mounted directly to the intake with no spacer. I also halfshafted the tb. When first installed there was no noise. A week later there was a whistle at idle...

    Code 14 PIP circut failure

Yeah, every time I've ever seen that code a new module fixed it. They run fine with that code also.

    DEXCOOL & T-stat noises-ANYONE???

Sorry, I didn't read any of the 3 pages here. Dexcool is uncool. You will have to replace every part of your cooling system in 3 years if you use it. Water pumps, freeze plugs, intake gaskets, head gaskets, heater cores, radiators, ect.... As soon as every GM is out of warranty I put...

Is there a way to tighten the E-brake?

NAPA used to sell an inline cable tightener. If your cable is stretched it will take up a couple inches of slack.

    AOD help

Don't go with those junky quick connects! You can rob flare fittings from another transmission or get them at any radiator shop. Then go to the parts store and get some 5/16" tubing with the fittings and flares already there. I would get a 25ft roll and double flare them myself. It's cheaper...

Machine shop costs/ extreme broken bolt situation ->

The best way to get that out is by a hammer and punch. Just have to work the easy out back and forth until it's loose. Much easier said than done. You will have to sharpen the punch over and over. Try heating the area with map gas. Then finish drilling the hole in the perfect center to a size...

130 amp alt... Can you get one from a wrecking yard?

Mine came from a '99 Mustang 3.8 liter. $25.00 each so I bought a spare. Smaller pulley with my u/d crank pulley and it puts out 130a @ idle and 200a @ 2000 rpm.

    PowerTrax users HELP!!

You NEED an open carrier for a lock-rite. I think it says that in the instructions. Mine did but it was a Chevy. Read the instructions again. Anyway, the clutches space the side gears out so obviously a posi carrier won't work. Think about it... where is the washer the side gear is supposed...

    '79 pace car

He is dead set on a budget 351 or 393 buildup. I wouldn't give over $300 for the car but he wouldn't come off it for less than a grand. When I asked if he would take $800 he firmly decided to keep it. The hood and front bumper are about the coolest looking 4-eyed fox stuff I've seen. Nice rear...
